@LiBERAT1ON Don't get me wrong....I like the YYY's, but this IS mainstream music, posing as underground "cool". Check out Siouxsie & the banshees,who were much more well known in the 80's & you'll see without a doubt that the YYY's are merely repeating their sound. Especially the vocal style. Except that O isn't NEARLY as powerful as a vocalist. Try giviing "Scarecrow" a listen & you'll see what I mean. Or "City lies in dust". There are the "originals" & then there are copy cats.

@937emotion The YYY's are barely known by anybody where I'm from. Mainstream here is mostly contemporary pop, screamo, and emo bands. Really sucks. And if you watch a few of their interviews, they really aren't posing as anything. They'd rather be back to an unsigned, close-knit band playing on tiny stages. That's why their 10th anniversary was in a tiny club in New York. I already know about Siouxsie and the Banshees, and KO may be inspired by them, but everyone has their inspiration.

@LiBERAT1ON Everyone is inspired by someone sure, but being inspired to sound LIKE them is another thing entirely. I have no doubt that they do it because they love it & for no other reason. But I can't give them points for originality. Reznor was inspired by skinny puppy, but he sounds nobody else & nobody has his voice. Billy Corgan was inspired by the cure/black sabbath, but he sounds like nobody else. That's my point. BUT The douche in Creed sounds like Eddie Vedder. See the difference?
