my school vocal program is doing this song for a show. we have about 50 people. I had no idea what it was going to sound like and if now i know that it will sond beautiful. thank you.
Perhaps they only practiced during one lunch period, who knows? Each rendition is unique and yet you go boasting around about your performance, some modesty would do you good.
My note would be that it isnt that you cant hear the melody of the song. So everyone talking about melody is just wrong.. If anything, they needed to bring out the harmonizing part to sync it together. The problem lies in the blending of the voices. someone in the soprano is sticking out. Hit the consonants clearly to be understood even though everyone have heard of this song before. Also kill the drums... it really is ruining it....
Not only that, the girl in the beginning had her hands together. Everyone knows choirs keep their hands to their sides. YOU AIN'T SPECIAL, GIRL! xD haha

Good singing, but some of you don't have any expression on your faces, half of you don't look like you're enjoying it. The soprano part needs to sing out a bit more, but it sounds very nice. :-)
this is amazing i love the song my choir is performing the saesong and love the rythem and the guy part it gives them a chance to shine

gosh, after spending whole afternoon listening to bad choirs in youtube (i'm researching for my school choir), i finally got to listen to a good one.
definitely gonna take one or two points from this performance.

Vowels need work and diction and not so nasal-y sounding..the sopranos were too loud and altos werent high enough

1) put more girls in the back, they're too loud
2) cut the percussion
3) m 38 going into 39, no fermata on that unwritten high note. OUCH!
4) LOTS more head voice, LOTS more phrasing, and LOADS more piano piano piano.

No offense, but my friends and I in our Jazz Choir learned this in two lunch periods, and we sound much better than this.
And we don't use a teacher or conductor for it...

3:40 was a little... bleh.
The conductor did a poor job.
