@jsmusik1 String doesn't matter all that much. You could make these with anything that resembles thread- even paracord if you wanted. I don't prefer yarn because it makes me itch but other than that it's not bad. =P
i just bought 150 skiens for 16$ at michaels and it was iris brand i knew wat brands u used but this seemed so cheap so i bought it...so anyway is the IRIS brand ok??
@tbballstar22 I've never heard of it before so I couldn't tell you. You'd be a more reliable source of letting others know if it's okay just by using it. Does it work? If it does, then yes. =P
@sparklefish12 I don't wear many, no. I just like making them. I used to give them away until 30 people in school kept asking for them so I started to sell them... now I sell them online. I have a shop, the link is on my Youtube Channel.
As for floss... I buy it online, in Michael's or in A.C. Moore. I usually buy DMC for myself, but for tutorial purposes I bought this other cheaper brand which was $15.00 for 105 skeins... not a bad deal and since it isn't as shiny as DMC it films much better.
@BeyondBracelets if you live in New York you can go to the Michael's in Roosevelt's field mall it's really cheap and very high quality ( i sound like a sales person but it's true)
@DirtypiCtures11ty5 I don't live close to New York (anymore) but when I lived in Northern New Jersey I would have probably wanted to check it out.... but now I live in Southern Delaware so New York is quite the road trip now.
What kind of string do you use? My string is stretchy and very thin looking. I want more of the thicker look like yours. If you could tell me where I can buy it from what what, that would be great! Btw! I love your videos, you have taught me all the patterns I know!
@KoolyKitty10 It's embroidery floss. Six-Stranded. I go to my help section on my channel and find my "your common questions answered" video. I explain floss there.
@jjawsome1000 I already have a contest going. I don't do them except for subscriber landmarks and I might do them for holidays- never just because.
I have trouble making things (hand numbness) and I need the money since I'm sick and it makes it impossible to have a normal job right now so I don't give them away except for special occaisions.
Buying one is always an option. Ebay is my best "selling" place. Just go to my channel and at the bottom of my "about me" is a link to my ebay listings.
@BeyondBracelets wait so u sell them and if how much HOPE U GET BETTER AND EVEN THOUGH UR GOING THRU ALL THIS UR STILL MAKING VIDS ?!??! Now tht deserves a subscribtion lol Get Well and keep doing this hobbie
@jjawsome1000@jjawsome1000 Yeah, I do videos when I feel well enough to, sometimes I feel sick and just skip it but when I feel sort of okay it gives me something fun to do. I never expected so many subscribers and funny enough having so many keeps me feeling less sick, I guess. It means people depend on me to help them and that's pretty therapeutic in its own right. Thanks for subbing!
My store can be found on my Channel (link) I have. I price them from 5-15 depending on pattern diificulty.
This is Awesome I'm really loving this pattern thanks so much! Something different to do without having to use an alpha pattern that takes up so muchhhhhhh floss
@lashyon the diamonds kill me though I need to buy some 6-strand because the craft cord is good for most but diamonds just don't work with it lol (that's the conclusion I came too!)
I would love it if you could do a video on how to end bracelets. I know there is alot of ways but I just can't get any right. Also do you have any alpha videos? I'm on my iPod so I can't search all ur vids. If not that cool. I just love how you explain things. Keep up the great work! :)
@jaxntwins just make braids... two braids if it's a thin bracelet if it's a cuff leave enough slack on the start end to make 4 on that side and four on the ending side to tie together... :o
i dont have the kind of strings you have i will have some later but right now im usin yarn is that okay?? i mean its goin out great
