NO Macbook can play Battlefield 3, even with Windows. Macbooks do not have the graphics to do so, as they have intel integrated graphics ( horrible ) or low-end radeon graphics ( not much better )

You would need a Nvidia GTX 560 Ti or stronger if you really wanted to play that game with high settings and a decent framerate.

PC for gaming, Mac for video editing, don't try to crossover :)

Certain universities have been in league with Apple for a while now. It's no secret that they make deals. Universities have lots and lots of money going through their system, and if Apple came along and secured a deal to put nothing but Macs on campus in exchange for a solid chunk of cash, the University won't turn it down. Check current tuition fees and book costs. Universities like to make money. OODLES of it.

I went from PC to Mac back in February and couldn't be happier. No problems at all and Macs come with great software. I especially like iMovie. The only reason I'm looking at bootcamp is so I can play Star Wars: Old Republic with friends when it comes out. Glad to see bootcamp comes already installed! Windows is faster. It's made using a low level language, which means it runs really fast.

OSX is made using if-then statements, which are really slow by comparison. They just make it seem fast by stripping out functionality.

Also, Apple hardware is almost always at least a generation behind.

OSX < more beautiful, more simplistic
