this was what i consider the glory days of wrestling. we all knew it was staged, but damn. Those guys could put on a show! for a good 2-3 years i was glued to the TV on Monday nights. Sting, DDP, Hogan, Savage, Scott Hall, etc. those guys did a hell of a job. I doubt we will ever have another time in wrestling ever again.

That's why he changed the landscape and rebranded himself as "sports entertainment." he could never sell a story line like the old NWA or old TNA though. He can promote better than anybody and market. I wish the crockets could have done it. They've had the best product, bar none, in 40 years. They shouldn't never let JR go though.
@ funforalgernon. DDP was a guy who came up through WCW from the very bottom. All the way from manager and through the ranks. He finally captured the World Title (3 times). But since Vince McMahon didnt make him... Vince McMahon had to fuck him. DDP wasnt even a major player in the WWF vs WCW/ECW Invasion. He was placed in the damn European (crys a bit lol) title division.
Page was over (on his own hard work and doing) and could go in the ring. That Diamond Cutter was a thing of beauty as well.
@BruiserDrop Couldn't agree more. Vince is a genius, but he needs competition to be at his best or he makes too many bad decisions (heeello John Cena). I pray TNA can utilize Bischoff and Hogan and rise to a competetive level and bring back the Monday Night Wars. If Spike throws some money and backing behind them, it could be something very special (AJ Stylez... wow). But McMahon also wanted to show how the WWE was "dominant" and let his ego ruin his brand. What a sad story...
@BruiserDrop Exactly, DDP made himself in WCW and earned everything he got but when he went to WWF they fucked him big time, it wasnt even the same DDP. They could have easily made him huge in the WWF but Vince is a dumbass when it comes to WCW guys so it didnt surprise me to see DDP get buried in a storyline that involved him being a freaky stalker or a motivational cult leader.
