I have spent the last 14 years as a mentally ill person - and for me much of this time was spent in denial - burying my head in the sand, and pretending that I was not ill.
I have read one of Lehmann's books, and it was scary- if you hear voices, then you are ill. If you try to be some kind of mental health superhero, and live completely independently, then you will fall flat on your face, and in public.
Lehmann's "siege mentality" (them and us - again) scares me, as did his book.
interesting listing to u. all issues of which i am well informed and insight that fits my own thinking. would be interesting to sit and chat with u. i guess for myself, i usually just work around the system. i think it is nearly impossible to bring down a belief system, u have to build your own along side of it and let the other one collapse on its own... if it every does.
