  • And needless to say, the music is really good :)

  • Thanks for posting. The alleys in Central Hong Kong still look like that. Some area in Central look different now though. Nice pictures.

  • does anyone know of sheet music & lyrics for this one?

    I've always loved this song!

  • One of four geat titles from the same session. "Eveything is Hotsy-Totsy Now", "Who Wouldn't Love You", and "That's All there is, There ain't no more".

I found the lyrics on line: "Two almond eyes are smiling" and "Whirling like a big sail round my Pig-tail"

Thanks for keeping the spitit of Carl and Joe alive.

  • I looooooove this old sounding musik sooooo much!!! Long live to the Coon Sanders Nightawks Orchestra!!! :-)

  • Thanks. I was going from memory alone. Gotta keep my references closer to the PC.

  • I didn't know this one, but it's excellent as usual.

  • One of their's I hadn't heard - up to their usual standard. Awfully good sound for an early electric.

  • Coon-Sanders was one of the era's better musical aggregations. Wasn't Harry Barris (listed as a co-writer of the song) later to become one of Paul Whiteman's "Rhythm Boys?" I think he was also Mildred Bailey's brother.
