  • Dude, you're not fat at all!

  • bmi is a load of shit. i am 18 6'1 and 163lbs and my bmi is like 21.2 or something, so perfectly normal yet i am still really skinny and even my friends comment saying how skinny i look. don't ever use the bmi ever.

  • ur fat

  • This is an odd video, but I like it!

  • your not FAT!! your just right!! FAT PEOPLE would call u skinny but that's because they a FAT ASS and just mad and skinny people want to have some meet like u hehe

  • I'm 5-6 225-230 I get told I'm too skinny. I know a doctor that's a bodybuilder parents bring kids to the office complaining they are underweight even though the kids are fat.

  • Any body builder would be obese on the scale it doesn't take into account muscle. I'm 240 and 5'11 and I'm obese on the bmi but only 15% body fat. Bmi is stupid unless you have no muscle

  • You look fine to me

  • You have to get your bf %, BMI is not accurate. I'm tired of people still using that shit.

  • @kingofdeadlift hahah im literely skinny just lots of muscle mass! it said im overweight!! :(

  • Well, I'd say that this statement is quite true in US.

  • Oh wow i can see your ribs , go suck a cock

  • Calculating your height to be 6' 0.5" I would say you were plumpish (in a sort of middle aged way) but you have a pretty bulky frame anyway, not way to skinny but what about those emo rockers in skinny jeans that are < 140 lbs at your height? They are narrow framed and you could probably snap them like a twig. You probably have a decent amount of muscle, but replacing a bit more spare fat with muscle doesn't hurt. Congrats on losing 50 pounds though. No bulging belly on you though.

  • I'm 5 foot 5 and 160 lbs and my bmi is around 27. The categories are so damn strict. Is the definition of overweight only being able to see abs a bit? Fair dos I have a bit of flab and could get down to 25 BMI and would look leaner. It's probably because most people have wimpy ass legs compared to mine.

  • Arnold at his prime was considered "obese", me as well and i almost got a six pack. who the hell care about bmi? bmi dos not take any account to muscles, not one bit. so if you do any muscles work outs at the gym you'll just get closer and closer to that "obese" line on that silly little sheet no matter how good you feel

  • I'm with ya dude!!! The last 10 seem to be the hardest for me... I'm tired of the daily work out and eating twigs n berries... its downright maddening isn't it?!!!

  • I'm with ya dude!!! The last 10 seem to be the hardest for me... I'm tired the daily work out and eating twigs n berries... its downright maddening isn't it?!!!

  • ......215 pounds is DEFFINIATLY OVER WEIGHT. Considering your not that tall, just because there's a lot of fat people doesnt mean your skinny when your fat. YOU SIR, NEED TO WORK OUT.

  • @tigy20077659 Please tell me ur joking.

  • @LauraLovesClint im not

  • you jus loss weight , you dont have any muscle , work out .

  • you call that seeing your ribs?

  • BMI is not a good indicator of how fat you are, just take the example of some sports people. E.g many rugby players have have BMI suggesting they are over-weight or obese, but as they have much muscle mass, the results are skewed, its body fat %, which matters.

  • @khan020202 While body fat percentage is a great indicator, it does not mean BMI is useless. Everyone keeps citing bodybuilders when dissing BMI, but the reality is that much mass on your frame will absolutely shorten your expected lifespan. An active (but average-looking asthetically) person with a 22 BMI and 15% body fat will usually have much better long-term health outcomes than a bodybuilder with a 32 BMI but low body fat.

  • Everybody's belly sticks out when they sit down, even thin people. I think his weight is perfectly fine, and is not even close to being overweight. BMI's are not accurate 100% because it only goes by your height, age, and weight. He apparently has some stocky builds, but he's still pretty thin. I appear a little slim, but the Wii Fit said I was overweight, so I can't go by what a video game says. For the best results, talk to a doctor about your weight.

  • You are not in shape. Work out and you'll be fine.

  • ur fat

  • build some muscle, u wont look so skinny after u burn off the fat.

  • I'm 185 and 130 pounds of it is muscle I'm not fat am I?

  • @1234BLISTEX 130 pounds of lean body mass on 185 pounds is quite fat, but you said 130 pounds of muscle, which doesn't include bone, skin and organs. Do you do bodybuilding at all?

  • come on dude being overweight or obese is all about the percentage of fat you have that's the only true way of knowing how fat you are you can be 6 feet tall 200 pounds but if you have a high fat percentage you would be fat if you have a low fat percentage you could be normal I hate when people rely on hight and weight to determine if their fat

  • Bah don't listen to that bullshit chart.. Doctor's really try and brain wash people to be all at a " perfect " weight.. My boyfriend's chubby like that and to me he's at a good weight, he's a dude and dude's aren't suppose to be all skinny like females are.

So don't listen to that bullshit chart..

  • This guy is right on the money in his perception of how people think today compared to years ago. So many more people are fat today than back in the 70's

  • Obesity is a medical term for when you have enough body fat to negatively affect your health. It’s not about subjective cultural norms of attractiveness.

  • I think he looks great. I like a little extra weight on a man.

  • With that much obvious fat on your lower back.. and what I strongly suspect is some 'tummy sucking' going on.. you undoubtedly also have a fair amount of visceral fat.

It's the fat *under* the stomach muscles that is worst for you too apparently.

Good on you for getting that far.. but you should keep going I reckon.

  • OMG AM I SERIOUSLY THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS HE IS SUCKING IT IN

its so obvious by the way he walks

and his chest being so far out

and a ribcage doesn't "come out" unless your sucking in,laying down or breathing

no matter how skinny you are

  • don't worry you are very skinny

i think you mostly muscle muscle weighs more then fat

    and everyones body is different

  • ur still fat dude..

  • i looked at that too. bunch of bull... i'm too skinny and i'm in the high range for my height.

  • Thanks for this video. I too lost over 50 pounds and family say I'm too skinny even though I'm in the normal category. I know exactly how you feel! Please write back to me if you found answers...

  • @m4x0rz1337 - I hope you are a chic. If your a dude and your 5' 10" 129lbs your one scrawny little skeleton. My dick weighs more than you.

  • I think once we see the side view with your "gut", that could be an issue, but you have lost a lot of weight. I think the best thing is to just be in shape!

  • Its kind of silly, even if you are overweight you develop much larger muscles to carry it so it looks even bigger, there isn't all that much difference most people have to do to get a lower weight.

but what really matters is body fat %age

  • way too skinny??

  • lol too skinny? Your still too fat. Plus BMI is not a good way to jjudge whether your too skinny. Since it doesn't include your muscle.

Your still very fat. Don't listen to your family, they are fat asses.

  • I'm 5' 10" and 129 pounds. I feel better than ever and look better. I feel so light and all my aches and pains from when I was heavier are gone. I already have a small bone and muscle structure, but I look more muscular than before, so I guess I have less body fat. I've been told I'm too skinny and I should "eat". Usually by obese people. Figures.

Fasting and fruit eating baby!!! Cleanse the body and mind! I'm shooting up trees like a fuckin chimp!

  • @m4x0rz1337 ikr fat obese fuckers dont have the right to say anything , they should lose the fucking weight and quit whining

  • thus gy is just trying to make a piont..that he loos good!!lol nahh...being "fat" is the new norm ands its dsgusting..im in ontario.. its pretty much the same here even with teenagers... i walk everywhere now and 1 out of 5 poeple are either overwieght or obese...and i am just TOTALY disguted that parents give their children(who are perfectly normal wieght) al this JUNK and fattning food, yeah well..this is a world that is full of people who wll die young becuase of poor eating habits..

  • @SummersideFaeri Good point. And I hate to say it, but the working people of our countries are going to have to pay for this "unnecesary" fat people. I know parents that raise their kids on McDonalds... LITERALLY. Good call Summerside.

  • you look good are NOT too skinny, lol damn you look pretty fine!((: ive gotten the same thing!! OMG,the only comments ive gotten from people that getting too skinny wehre from FAT people, and yeah when i turn to the side you can clearly see i still have a tummy and a bit of fat fold,:$but im a pear shape, upperbody.and shoulders very slim and slender.collerbone sticks out,big hips butt and thight, still have a bit of chub on my upper arms,my BMI is 21, i used to wieght 150 about 2 years ago..

  • stop sticking your chest out and let go of your stomach. if you're not concerned with being a model or anything you're fine.

  • Being overweight is not 'normal' or it wouldn't be titled as 'over'. However, today in America and a few other countries as well, overweight is becoming increasingly 'average'. Because if you take the amount of pounds that people are overweight in America, Canada, much of Europe etc., and take the amount of pounds people are underweight in these countries, the average will be at the overweight mark.

  • Embrace the fatness! =O

  • You look good. Definitely not skinny, maybe you just seem skinny to them because they're use to seeing you with more weight on you.

  • Because you have lost muscle but still have fat, which is known as skinny-fat. This is why you can see your ribs but still have a paunch. The key at this point is not weight loss, but rearranging your body composition so that you have more muscle and less fat.

  • Congrats on the weight loss.

BMIs are a fine rule of thumb. But they're to be taken with common sense. In good muscular shape, a 6' 0" 187 lb. man is ok (I'd say 175 or so, but with good muscle tone. That's where exercise/nutrition comes in, and where lots of people get confused). With little to no muscle tone, of course you won't "look right."

"Normal" should be between 146 and 187 for your height. As you can see from the belly fat, which is still quite pronounced, 215 is far too high.

  • your not too skinny. oO

  • I believe that everybody is different what is "skinny" to one may not be the same as another. For instance, I am 5'6" and 105 Ib, I feel healthy regardless of the charts, maintain a healthy diet, and exercise regularly, however the doctors would deem me underweight to the point of being unhealthy. I don't care because I feel that I am the right weight for me, if you feel healthy and fit then that is what you should weigh, regardless of whether the chart says you are obese or not.

  • your not fat your just a little doughy, hit the steroids

  • You dont look fat! Remember that people who work out have got nothing to do with a BMI test. As it is for lazy bums :p

  • omg please are u kidding me? fat? overweight? this is coming from a 22 year old woman and she is thinking that u are crazy to think that u are overweight. u look great!! any woman would say this believe me. not every woman cares about six pack abs.

  • Yes your overweight

  • Your friends and family are only saying you're "too skinny" because they're comparing your current body to the one that was fifty pounds heavier. However, since this is the first time I've seen your body, I think you could stand to lose a good few pounds. You legs and arms look good, but you're still got a way to go with your belly and face. I'd try and get down to having a BMI of 25 or below, if I was you, mate! Good luck!

  • Dude, you are overweight but not by a lot.

  • yes you're overweight

  • @k9platnum68 wtf hes not overweight?

  • HOW DID YOU LOSE 50 POUNDS?

  • im 14 and weigh 141 pounds. but its mostly muscle since I do exercises, eat healthy and workout, I don't understand how people can be over my age and be weighing in at 90-100 pounds. most the kids in my school weigh in at 120-200.

    and you're not fat

  • your bmi is higher then normal because

    1) you have a (very small) belly

2)but most important you have probably alot of muscle

as to your friends and family saying your too skinny, thats a little overboard, its just probably because you used to be alot bigger. ive seen 6 foot kids who weigh 110 pounds, thats skinny.

  • im 15 and weigh 94 pounds, but thats only because i have fast motabilsm, its best just to work out and watch what you eat and be happy with your life.

  • lol dude, dont buy new pants, just wear the old ones gangsta style :D

  • Overweight? Not a chance, man, not a chance.

  • dude i am just like you we are not fat

keep they way you are please?

  • No it doesnt im just 14 years old. What works for you isnt some bmi. I know i am going up against the whole system but this is outrageous.

There are varied proportions of the human body. bf% is what will commonly affect your bmr rate. You may think you are muscular even if you were to cut.

There is no such thing as healthy wieght because everyone is different . What makes you healthy is what you eat and what you do.

you are what you eat. eat trash and you become it.lack of micronuts.

  • My friend wiegh is in the 90s and she eats 5 porgessive soups for dinner, two boxes of cholates for breakfast and a whole cake for lunch.

I'm 188lbs I exercise every other day and burn 200 cal and do 5.5 miles. I eat 1500 cal a day. Before that I was eating 1200cal a day two weeks perously.

I hate how I'm made fun of. O thought it was funny when I guy that makes fun of me for being fat looked at my calorie count for the exercise bike and saw 200 calories. lol epic

  • @singlaprety12 hey how long have you been eating that low for coz im 165lbs and im eating 3300 kcals a day, your body adapts to whatever your throwing at it if you do it for a long period of time for survival reasons, try zig zaging your calories

  • I think you need to pack on some muscle. Your shape is mostly from fat. You can look normal, but your fat to fat free mass ratio is way off.

  • I've found that the opinion of who's fat or skinny depends on the individual doing the speculating. I'm a guy who's underweight, according to other people I know and the BMI, and to me you look a bit overweight. Naturally, if your friends & family are heavy and you aren't they're going to think of you as skinny because they're inclined to compare you in relation to themselves.

I believe if you eat healthy & treat yourself right, that's all that should matter. Health above appearance.

  • I'd say ur in good shape. But fat content is no so important. It's more important to be cardiovascular fit. If you can't run more than 100m you got problems. Lol ur friends think your too thin but remember it's all releative.

  • You are not fat.

  • im 15 years old =]

    & Im only 97 pounds:(

i wish i was a little bit fatter. xD

  • trust me you will be

  • We been so fat for so long, we've forgotten what being normal is. On top of that, we have hormone treated food supply so even a perfect diet/workout we would still be 15- 25 lbs overweight!

  • If BMI was right me, as a fourteen year old girl weighing 100 pounds, with a height of 5'4 would be considered unhealthily underweight.

  • ohh im sure you're fineee.... im healthy.. and im 16 weighing in at 95.. :)

  • kus omek

  • im 14 years old and wiegh 121 lbs. 5'3 some kids wiegh 124 or 110. Let me tell you something if you think wieght is what makes you healthy then you are dead wrong. Don't belive those statistics. Every person in this world is different. If I was ever told by my doctor i as ''unhealthy'' i would take him to the local bodybuilding gym

I could wiegh 230lbs when im 5'5 and i could be healthy. Reason bieng bf%. more muscle mass consistancy then fat

  • Hey that's how much my friend paul weighs he's the same size as you and guess what my dad is 228 lbs and he's 5"6

  • I don;t know. If love handle is only 5 lbs that might be vanity more than anything. Im 207 and 5-7" and I have had people here in Houston ask "do you eat enough" or "your not aneroxic are you" Here in Houston normal is when you have a huge gut.

  • Comment removed

  • If I look up the normal weight online, they give me the average weight. I'm asking for normal, not what is acceptably fat.

  • Have your body fat % measured at your gym or doctors office.

This guy is a bit over weight and out of shape. Best way to tell is from the back view you can see some love handles. Also, his chest has no definition, so it's more so fat tissue rather than muscular pecs. His legs are pretty lean though.... but is back also needs a little work too.

From a fitness trainer point of view...

  • first of all there is a difference between being "lean" and skinny, and at 26 percent body fat my friend, you are not lean, far from it. stop worrying about bmi and what people tell you, instead worry on your body fat percentage and muscle to fat ratio. if you drop body fat and get lean and find yourself being to "skinny" then simply take up weight training and a healthy diet to add more muscle to your frame... NOT FAT. AND YES, there is such a thing as "normal weight obesity"" or "skinny fat"

  • I don't trust that BMI bs.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger is obese if you look at BMI. BMI doesn't take into account your lean body mass. Focus on body fat not on pounds. You don't need to lose 30 pounds, just about 6 % body fat to be in the normal range. You can do that and still remain at 215 pounds.

  • Yeah, Sean, if I was a healthy BMI I would have to lose every ounce of body fat AND 10 LBS OF LEAN MUSCLE. What's "healthy" about that???

  • Dude, is all that based on BMI? BMI is not a good representation of fit weight because it doesn't take into consideration muscle density which in some individuals is higher. Remember when Holyfield went into the military, he was considered "obese" The guy barely had an ounce of fat on him.

  • Yeah you should measure your bodyfat% instead of BMI

  • @Andrew197629 Except this guy actually still has a high body fat %. BMI is only worthless if you have low body fat and a lot of muscle, in which case, you shouldn't need some measurement to tell you that you are fit if you clearly are.

  • What is considered normal these days is significantly heavier than what was normal about 30 -35 years ago. In the 70s, you'd be considered to be borderline heavy set. I remember in the 80s, men started wearing really loose shirts, even the short sleeve shirts suddenly had these really over sized sleeves, so you could gain a few lbs and it wouldn't be as noticeable. Maybe that has something to do with it. My brother looked like you and people told him that he needed to drop 15 lbs back then.

  • Oh BTW, it looks like your sucking in your gut. Just let it hang.

  • you are mentally ill my friend

  • You're not overweight, but normal. But if you want to have a much lower bodyfat, you have to eat right and exercise. That's the only way.

  • u look average....just an average guy..NORMAL

  • Don't sweat it. Most people have no idea about fitness and health. Ignore the detractors. BTW, you can stand to lose a few lbs. 20 lbs or so will do the trick.

  • you just want to show off your new body.

don't have to bring in the excuses about BMI and stuffs.

    heh heh..

    i know you..

  • u dont look fat to me at all u look normal not too fat and skinny me im 6'4 im skinny, and am athletic and i weigh 138 pounds btw im 16 years old

  • DAYUUUUMN, 138 and 6'4? WTF....

  • @victshot I'm 6'2 145... I eat more than my uncle who is 6'0 220.

  • @victshot Where does it say he's 6'4"?

  • @TheBrassHole ..whoeva said he is that height is definatly wrong and if this guy thinks so he is also wrong lol..the door frames in a house are 6,8 and im 6,4 but when standing near/in the door way i look very close to touching it

  • yep sean, we have. i have the same problem.

  • Comment removed

  • you dont look skinny or thin, you look overweight, but you don't look THAT MUCH overweight. my boyfriend is 6'1 and 150 pounds and no one ever calls him skinny, but I think he is. People have different views... bleh.

  • You need to work out your pecs, there is some flab and fat on them, and your arms too. That is probably why you are overweight, because your arms and chest have fat on them. Also, consider the mass of your muscles. As well, are you bigboned?

  • working out those muscle groups has no effect what so ever about the flab/fat on them.

  • he is still fat

  • Comment removed

  • trust me mate, you look absolutely normal, my dad is around your age and he is getting a bit fat, he's got a right buldge on his belly...

  • You're average looking. you simply look like a normal middle aged man who is a bit outta shape. But the thing is that men have more muscle than women, therefore men are heavier than women. Muscle weighs more than fat, which is the reason why men and women at the same weight and weight, men will look bigger because of more muscle build. IMO, people should go by body fat percentage.

  • I think theyt say overweight because you have littel muscle mas and a lot of fat. No offense, but you are built like a girl.

  • How tall are you ?

    because that counts alot !

  • not skinny, not fat. whats normal is whats you and whats normal to you we are all different so dont worry about it.

  • never play with you ribbes it nasty!!!! i almost got sick when you did that ! ewkk....not you just the fact about th ribs

  • you're average looking, not fat or buff

  • In the US we've become so fat that overweight is "normal". I just came back from Canada where "normal" by their standards looks skinny here.

People tell me that I'm skinny, but I'm absolutely "normal" on the streets of Toronto. For the record, I'm 5'8" and weigh 129 lbs with a BMI of about 20.

  • we are to the point where when someone is fat they look normal.

  • 50lbs is great but you still are overweight. Who is it exactly that is saying your too skinny? Are these individuals obese? I can't imagine any body but an obese person considering that too skinny. I'm sorry but I can't think of anyone who would look at this video and say your anything less then what your BMI says.

BMI has been called out dated by bodybuilders but that is only in reference to a very small % of people who have very large amounts of muscle. For the general pop. its good.

  • BMI and its "normal weight" are ridicuously outdated. It was devised in the 19th century and certainly does not apply in the 21st century!

  • just try to build more muscle

bmi is outdated, don't worry about it, you look great

  • ur fine

    u just neen some exercise

  • And just so everyone knows, BMI is an outdated and inaccurate method of finding out whether or not your in good shape. The BMI Scale has been around since the 1800's and has NEVER been revised, so don't trust it.

  • As Far as Body fat goes, it's mmeasured in proportion with your muscle mass. You probably have a higher amount of fat than muscle and although you are thin, Your body fat percentage is high. Build up some muscle if you want that body to go down.

  • Eat 1oz of Oat meal in the morning and a protein shake, Eat 12oz of salad, 6 oz of meat, and 8oz of steam vegetables for lunch and dinner. You'll be set.

  • duh....the bmi chart doesnt apply to those who have a large muscle density...i take it u work out a bit a least.......also, men have less body fat than women and there are specific charts that differ........well u look good so be glad :)

  • And dude, you are NOT fat. You are veeeery handsome. ;-)

  • The bmi is a tricky thing. It's not a hard and fast rule for everyone. When I cut out most of that junk food out of my diet, I went under the bmi healthy range, yet I still eat more than enough and I sneak in cheetos, burgers, and lovely kitkat like twice a week. Eat healthy, exercise, and wherever your body turns up, provided u have no underlying medical condition that makes u gain or lose weight, should be where your body is comfortable.

  • You look alright man, congratulations on loosing so much weight, you look like a tall guy with a pretty big frame so your never gonna be light. Healthy body fat percent for men 41-60 is 11-22%, so your basically fine.

  • i dont belive any one should folow bmi

  • You're not fat, you're just tall and have significant muscle mass. The BMI scale isn't a perfect system of measurement because it doesn't distinguish between weight from muscle and weight from fat. As for stomach fat, just start doing some sit ups, crunches, and other basic ab excercises (a variety of whitch can be found in Men's Health magazine) to tone up your stomach and you'll be fine.

  • Muscle Mass . Thats how i gained almost 40 Pounds. Its not necisarily Fat.

  • i am 5'7 175 to 180...you have to go by your bmi...i am in 24% i could loose 30 more pounds...but why? Just to get some girls? Just to sleep with some chick? Just to feel better?

I think it is good to be "healthy" the hell with what others think and what it take to get agirl I think being "healthy" helps you to learn better get better jobs and helps you to feel better...right or wong?

  • It's about standard, I think a fat guy in teh US is about the same as an obese guy in sweden, and a skinny guy in the US is about a normal guy here. It's measured by your surroundings. If your neighbour is fat that makes you skinny.

  • thats what ppl say to me, its cause they get used to you being fat, and once you do something about it they start feeling bad about themselves not doing anything about their weight so they have to make it seem like you have overdone yourself. Keep up the good work, lift some weight though

  • I don´t think u need to go down in weight, U have a good body, but could need some muscles ? Your stomach need abs thats for sure, But hell no overweight

  • omg im 11 n weigh 90 n height is 5'4

  • i am 13 and i weigh 140 pounds and i am 5'9 and i am kinda fat and it is annoying

  • you look fine to me

  • your fine !

  • i agree that our country is getting so obese that being fat is becoming very normal. people can't be skinny anymore without being called anorexic because the fatty's don't want to admit that they themselves are the ones with a problem

  • YOUR FINE!

  • It's mostly bullshit.

  • i think you're just fine

    :]

  • I'm 13. I'm about 5'9, and I weigh 180. I know I'm chunky, but I can't tell if I'm fat or not. I don't want to be negative and assume I'm fat, or be to cocky and think I'm all muscle. What's your opinion?

  • BoomHeadShotFTW, im 6'1" and 160 at 12% bodyfat. I work out quite a bit, so Id have to say unless you're really muscly, you've got alot of fat on your body.

  • I'm in the same boat, I'm thin everywhere but my 30-pound belly.

Okay, maybe I have a chunky butt, too, but still. I'm betting the belly is still a good 15 to 20 pounds.

  • Look fine to me. I think those BMI's are setting people up for failure. Obviously your healthier now considering you've lost weight and you must have been eating better and being more active. Society is messed up. These days there isn't a body mass that is just right.

  • My best friend and I have asked the same question she's not very big but according to her BMI shes Obese.

  • It's based on health, not some arbitrary societal standard. You don't look obese, you look unhealthy.

  • im 15 and 5,8 and i weigh 120 am i fat?

  • your not too fat and not too thin

  • your fine

  • wow peoples comments on this are more stupid then what i expected from Society.

You are not fat, society's accepted appearance for a man is muscle everywhere..which is disgusting, you look fine.

  • DUDE LISTEN NOW, THE BMI SCALE IS WORTHLESS... You are more buff(musclefilled) than the average person. Which is why you fuck the scale up :D i am too i have 10kg of fat on my body but i still go over the bmi because of my lean 42kg of muscles!
