I bought this game release date back in 07 paid full price and it has sat on my shelf ever since i will often be the 1st guy to say if a game sucks and to me this was an epic game visually iv played resistance 3 and none of the boses came close to how awesome area 51 boses were althought R3 hordes are way better but visually this title has stood the test of time to sum it up its the poor mans resistance but 4 me u cant go wrong buying an alien FPS.

I really hear the guy's point. I'm not a multiplayer type of gamer. Except for Halo, Gears..etc..so if a game isn't going to use multiplayer as a crutch, the single player campaign BETTER be very very very well executed and keeping me coming back for more. The first Area 51 REALLY did a good job of that.

The most they've been able to do with shooters is add some different abilities such as the perks in CoD or the parkour stuff in Brink and to a lesser extent in Crysis 2. But the gameplay is basically the same, point, shoot, kill. Look at counter strike, nothing new, but it still remains extremely popular. this is a good game, no publicity
Underrated game, i have it, i love it. Problem is the developers decided to release it around the same time as COD4 and Halo 3....it's not a good idea to release a brand new game around the same time as 2 major game franchises release new games.
Hmm, first off, your video clearly shows AWFUL framerate which u did not mention(definitely affects the gameplay) and the AWFUL AI of the two idiots you control. What about the "Morale" of these morons which you have to keep track of. That is innovative though totally messed up in how it is implemented. Black Ops had the same graphics as MW2, nothing much more spectacular. And the multiplayer sucked for black ops, nothing but maps designed for campers shitty re spawn sights. Black Ops was waaaay over rated.

They do look pretty much the same, but I recently bought an hdmi cable and it made MW2 blow black ops completely out the water when it came to graphics. There were times in MW2 where it looked almost real. black ops still looked like crap lol
Black Ops might have had campers, but they were easier to snuff out than in Modernwarfare 2. On the sub base map people either put claymores in the staircase, or they hide there while using the commando perk.
Honestly both suck, the first modern warfare had the best multiplayer just for the simplicity. And world at war was good until the hackers ruined it. But if it came down to the bell, then yes your right of course, MW2 is waaaay better then black ops. But the graphics? I can never tell, but BO looked a little cartoony when compared to MW2, but but BO was also smoother in texture than MW2, which is why I say there pretty much both the same, nones better then the other.

I love this game, well, I don't love it as much as Bad Company 2 or some other games but hey, it was only 5€ (that's about 6$) and for a game of this price it is pretty badass
It's a run of the mill shooter. I love the aiming, though the graphics suck. I'm a PC gamer though, and xbox can't really processor much more than this. It is based on the Unreal Engine 3.0 (overrated as far as graphics are concerned.)
@asleeperj If the unreal engine is used really good it is a great engine. If devs use it to its full potential..it shines. Epic does a good job of this and so does a lot of devs. For some example of devs that know the code well you have Gearbox, Sparks unlimted (I respect those guys) Zombie and of course epic. Thats all I know of who understands it..WELL.
@dude63 The U3 engine needs a huge overhaul. It doesn't even support AA and a lot of the other goodies that older engines support. My case and point, look at what IW did with the old quake 3 engine (CoD4). That this is an antique engine, and looks amazing for how old it is.

It's not a sequel. If any of you actually played that game, you'd know that it has nothing to do with Blacksite. I hate Blacksite. It has overproduced, bland, and grainy graphics that look like shit, and I know that graphics don't really matter in a game, but when it's putrid and nauseating to look at for 10 hours, it's a problem. The A.I. is horrible. I can count on my hand how many enemies there are. It's really repetitive, and not in a fun way.

multiplayer would be good if it had a larger player cap for thoes huge maps and if people actually had this god damn game i mean jeeze nobody has this game i try to find one match, and i usually do, and theres only one guy in the game. boring !

i like the first area 51 story its was more realistic and more involved with the main charactors even the side ones this is wat this game lacked not a lot of drivin force to the story like he said but an ok game overall

It's not a sequel. If any of you actually played that game, you'd know that it has nothing to do with Blacksite. I hate Blacksite. It has overproduced, bland, and grainy graphics that look like shit, and I know that graphics don't really matter in a game, but when it's putrid and nauseating to look at for 10 hours, it's a problem. The A.I. is horrible. I can count on my hand how many enemies there are. It's really repetitive, and not in a fun way.
