BTW, if you're in Phasewalk BEFORE you pass the red barrier, Crawmerax will not spawn until you exit phasewalking in a place that he can see you. Fortunately, this means if you're on the corner of the cliff like I said in my last post, you can kill all of his minions before even spawning him.
I killed him in less than 5 minutes with a Rolling Skullmasher (Sniper rifle with 336x6 dmg and a spread) and a Specter class mod (huge bonus to sniper rifle crit damage) without getting hit once. I keep similar SMGs for the minions.
Found that the best thing to do is phasewalk right before passing the red barrier, then follow the cliffs on the left all the way to the very end. From there only his acid can hit you, so just phasewalk when he does. Otherwise, just snipe to your heart's content.

@HusaneFata1 this's true; there are higher capacity shields to be found, and I've found many before and even after the one I have now but I take into consideration that the shield I use in this run (and even now) is a pearlescent rarity item. It's called Alacritous Rose and its one main feature that I love is that when my shields drop to zero, it automatically pitches my health regen to an insanely high rate when coupled with Phasewalking. It can regen from nearly 100 health to a full 2000+ hp
@HusaneFata1 Furthermore, about the recharge rate, yeah it's sort of a big deal, at least with me it is. The high recharge rate increases your chances to survive. It's like, if you have a shield that's 500 capacity higher but the recharge rate isn't ratio to it, it kind of defeats its purpose. Even at 300 recharge rate you'll just be getting by but with a high recharge rate you can guarantee that when you get hit, your shields will return much much quicker than you'd expect. Survival!
@Aardcore Yea I found a great shield with 1400 something shield, 360 or so recharge and a quick health regen. The shield is rather low considering I have some that are 1900 or better but the regen is so fast that by the time I come out of phase walk I have both full health and full shield. Not to mention the health regen helps if you duck behind cover. Best one I've used so far.

@showboppin4441lover I don't know how or why people do the modding thing but all of my weapons and mods were all found in game. Even if I knew how to mod, I'd probably not even do it-- that'd detract from the real fun in the game! So as far as all my items go, they're all legit. Or should be...
@showboppin4441lover yea if you take a look at his mercenary mod it has +16 SMG Ammo regeneration although I must say the stats on it are very very high for a lvl 34 mod but still I have found better mods than that so even if someone did make it it's still all legit # values for the stats just level seems low to me for the quality of it
@HusaneFata1 yeah I was really REALLY lucky to have found this mod when I did when I was level 34. To make it even more remarkable, I found it in one of the vendors! And bought it as soon as I saw it. I just really wanted that ammo regen. The rest of the stats, honestly, could've been crap but I really wanted that SMG ammo regen.
