@dmp1549 that's my point, pia looked promising, everyone was raving about how she deserved to win, then she released an album and it was god awful, generic in every meaning of the word. She was not an artist, but a puppet, singing about a relationship that probably wasn't even hers. I fear haleys fans could meet the same fate, only time will tell. And the whole "mainstreem this, mainstreem that" annoys me. there has never been a line difference between the talent of successful and unsuccessful.

I totally agree about what you said about her album, and I guess that proves your point about being mainstream as her album was probably analyzed statistically and "should" have been a big hit. I think people are looking for something more real than that, imho.

Haley interprets the lyrics and effortlessly injects emotional ebb and flow through tonal changes, whistle, body language, etc - it's a different song, almost. Haley made it "her own".
