  • Hey i loved this video. chattanooga is one of my favorite places to hang out. I once ran over that walking bridge while jumping every post in the middle of the bridge. and the view from the deck of the museum at night is pretty cool.

  • Great video....thanks Jim :)

  • Hi Millie. Thank you for riding along with us. It's along way from home for you! LOL -Jim

  • Train was cool..so was car..Sharon!

  • Thanks Sharon! Have a great weekend darlin. I just realized I wasn't subscribed to your new channel. But, I've subscribed now and will be keeping up with your videos. -Jim

  • Thanks for sharing your great trip with ya, but did ya find some good Ice Cream? Got to have some good Ice Cream where ever I go!!

  • Lawayne I do love ice cream also. However I managed to get through Chattanooga without any though. LOL Thanks for watching. -Jim

  • I love this city. 13 years ago, for his 5th birthday, I took my son to the choo choo and we stayed in one of those train cars as well. I got real scared on that bridge, though - couldn't make it across. Great video.

  • Hey Sue. Thanks for watching. Kids seem to love to stay in those train car hotel rooms. -Jim

  • Hiya Jim...Those must have been the politically correct lyrics. The ones I remember could be taken the wrong way. Oh, and by the way...I'm not THAT old, but my Grand-Dad had a 78 rpm record of the song : - )

  • Hey Greg. Thanks for watching buddy! -Jim

  • Great Video!

    Thank you!

  • Thanks Marty. Glad you liked it! -Jim

  • Love it, Jim. A glass walkway! Hmmm - just a little bit scary! Very nice spending the day with you in Chattanooga! What's next? - roc

  • Roc I'll have to say that's the first glass bridge I've ever seen! LOL Thanks for riding along with me. -Jim

  • I've always wanted to go there. Thanks for showing us

  • Great vid! Its nice to see so much of the old style architecture intact, Nashville bulldozed so much in the 50s and then knocked down the rest in the early 80s. Progress my Aunt Fannie!

  • They have saved lots of the old architecture and I agree it's nice to see. Thanks for watching. -Jim

  • When you spend the night at the Choo Choo, be sure to stay in one of the train cars!! They are the MOST fun! My wirehair and I stayed for several nights and had a pic taken as we were coming down the steps--black and white 1940's style--he loved it--me too!

  • My neice and sister have stayed in one of those train cars and they thought it was fun also. -Jim

  • Somebody marked me as spam---I'm not spam--I'm at least hot dog----or sausage---but SPAM--never!

  • YEah...a place I know. Was there at Easter time. It is a really pretty area.

  • Hey Stacey. I always enjoy my visits to Chattanooga. Thanks for watching dear! -Jim

  • Can't believe I got to take a stroll round Chatanooga after my lunch. Thank you for taking us to some great places and the stills were lovely and clear too. I am so thrilled to have seen that there really is still a choo-choo. This will go to faves to share with my kids and grandad choo-choo! Cheers, Lesley

  • Hi Lesley. Thanks for watching dear. I'm glad you enjoyed the trip! -Jim

  • I love the combination of the video-tour and the photography shots, set to music, at the end of the video. You should put them on Flickr. Chattanooga looks like a really nice city. :~)

  • What a wonderful travel vlog! You really showed us around! I've traveled thru Chattanooga many times growing up on the way to see my sister who lives an hour south of Atlanta. We never stopped though...now I see that it's a shame we didn't. ((HUGS)) Lisa

  • Lisa you'll have to stop and look around the next time you're up that way. Thanks for watching. -Jim

  • Wish I had known you were here in Chattanooga!! It'm my hometown!

  • Thanks for the visit to one of my ABSOLUTELY favorite places - The Chattanooga ChooChoo! I wish you had gone on down and shown a picture of the best indoor swimming pool in the South... (well it use to be)... remember it had the slide coming out of the big rock... I think they have closed that now but that big room still brings back memories!

BTW... I believe the little outdoor courtyard cafe that you showed was where Rachael Ray did one of her shows from..... ~ann

  • Ann I wanted to go look for that indoor swimming pool but I didn't want to spoil one of my favorite childhood memories. That pool and poolside cafe have a special place in my heart! What year did we first go there? It must have been in the early 70's. Oh I wish I had a time machine! -Jim

  • I loved the carousel. I want to ride the ostrich! Very nice video trip. Loved the statues too! Your music selections are always wonderful! Be safe! Hugs, hmarty :)

  • Jim, :p

  • Thanks Marty. I wish you had been traveling along with me today! Take care. -Jim

  • I want to see that glass bridge. I'm afraid of heights and that would be scary! HUGZ!

  • One panel of that glass bridge was crackled and broken! I scurried on across after seeing that! LOL

  • It's nice to see these Travelvlogs. I wouldn't ever get to see these places so I like that you show the places of interest in a town or city. I have never been to an aquarium and would sooo love to see one.

A Glass Bridge??? What happens if you dropped a rock on it? lol don't look down Jim

  • Oh my goodness Bea, one of those panels was crackled and broken. I jumped back into the middle and moved on off of that glass bridge! Thanks for watching dear. Wish you were here with me. -Jim

  • Man Jim, I LOVE these travelogs that you take us on. We get to see so many places we might not otherwise see - as you see it through your camera lens. THANKS for that. I ALWAYS enjoy these things. Keep 'em comin' and I'll keep watching.

  • Hey TonyDi. Well I really appreciate you watching my friend. You and Tina should just retire and ride along with me full time. LOL Thanks again! -Jim

  • Aw, you SANG!!! Jim, you have a lovely voice! How cool, a glass bridge (I wouldn't have crossed it either). Thanks for the tour of Chattanooga, it really makes me want to visit! The culture and architecture are simply splendid!

    *hugs* Darlin ~ Angie

  • Angie it would have been much better if you had been here singing along with me darlin! That glass bridge was scary but I ventured on across it. LOL Thank you so much for watching. -Jim

  • Jim, but I was there with you darlin!! *smile* You just couldn't hear me sing (nor would you want to.. lol).

You're much more brave than I am, you would have had to drag me across!! HAHA

  • Yea, it was a good day Angie. Thanks for asking.

  • Pardon me boy, is that the chatanooga choo choo?

    Okay FIRST to say that!

  • I do believe you know the song Gary! Chattanooga would be a great place for a YouTube meetup. In fact, Chattanooga was one of the places that Lemonette suggested for the very first SouthTube gathering. Thanks for watching buddy! -Jim

  • Chattanooga Choo Choo was one of the songs I grew up listening to. Up until my dad passed away a few years ago, he was a barber shop chorus singer. What a nice town - I've never been there but it seems to have s great mix of natural beauty, history, and modern art. Thanks, as always, for showing us around. -Doug

  • Doug you are so close to Chattanooga. It would be a wonderful place for you to take a family vacation because there is so much to do. Thanks for watching my friend! -Jim

  • Doug... Chattanooga REALLY is a great place for a quick family get away. Stay at the ChooChoo... great indoor pool! and if you go during Christmas... Santa sends his elves to tuck the children in and takes messages back to Santa. Lots of other 'family' friendly things to do! ~ann

  • Sounds like a great city! Ha, i bet if i keep watching your videos i will have to make a cross country visit to the US someday! :) well done!

  • Kopkitty I would love to show you around the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Thank you for watching dear. I hope that you had a wonderful day. -Jim
