what gets me is, that Caribou stood his ground. At one point, he ran and got away but the bear chased. Then he stopped, then started chasing again. The Caribou was far enough in the lead that if kept running, would have saved his own life, but instead, chose to turn around and stair down the bear. It was a bad decision to make. As to the video, it is disturbing to watch, but that is life in an uncivilized society. Be happy we have laws to protect people. If we didn't, life would be like that!

I already told you, you're not doing any favors to the ecosystem by killing it. Disease will still travel through small numbers, rendering that argument defunct. You're saying if you didn't kill them they would become extinct, please stop lying to yourself and others. Do you know how many farmers are put out of business by one donated deer? You're upsetting the economy by doing that, let alone the ecosystem.

HUMANS HUNTING is just wrong!
Human OVER-population is invading and destroying ecosystems that were human free before.
Hunters use the excuse of "helping" control the deer population, when destroying predators like cougars, bears and others.
Any "surplus" of animals is due to destruction of ecosystems and also killing of their natural predators by no other than hunters!
Hunting is plainly a sport for those that can not see the greed of humans destroying other species habitats

@Shrender, hunting is wrong because, the reasons you listed above are not entirely correct, you may believe it is population control but it is actually hunting for pleasure, it is described as population control because you're not letting the population drop below a certain limit, the less the animal the more the incest, there is less genetic variation, disease would spread equally among them. As for your donation, the right thing for the wrong reason.

It's not cruel to hunt animals you can eat, such as deer, elk, you know..rabbit,...game...herbivores. But When you cross that threshold into Tigers and bears? For wool coats and cashflow? That's disgusting. No hunter should take pride in killing an animal so close to extinction (Tiger) .. I'm not against hunting, i'm against the extermination of beautiful animals for non-edible purposes. Especially Tigers and the works. If you need clothing? A deer should over that as well, anything else is lux.

The pain it has to go through to hit our plate? You fuckers truely wouldnt survive in the wild on your own. Gotta be kidding me. Plants, animals insects, whatever it all goes in one hole and out the other. Survival is survival. You give some of those precious animals the opportunity and you'll be there dinner, say any different and youve never truely had to survive in the open wild.

i would for survival, key word being survival which is what my whole statement was based on. The lack of that luxury. Furthermore there is nothing wrong with hunting reguardless of either. As far as nobility, I would like to think that i am. 2 tours in iraq, took a bullet trying to save a 6yr old girl from getting gunned down, healing up so i can get back on active duty. I fail to see my misrepresentation of your comment that someone who doesn't take the life of something with a nervous system can somehow respect Nature more than one who does. I never suggested, either, that one can "respect Nature" more by killing something with cute little eyes and a system of pain we understand fully. Plants may not feel pain as we know it but they certainly sense a functional equivalent in the face of adverse stimuli.

People must eat what is available. I abhor the current industrial food system as well as hunters leaving bear corpses head and hand-less. I abhor needless destruction, but it is not inherently needless.
It is quite often necessary. Having said that, I don't argue the fact that men are pigs in that respect.
Additionally, the protein in meat is what's given us the capacity to have this conversation.

what gets me is, that Caribou stood his ground. At one point, he ran and got away but the bear chased. Then he stopped, then started chasing again. The Caribou was far enough in the lead that if kept running, would have saved his own life, but instead, chose to turn around and stair down the bear. It was a bad decision to make. As to the video, it is disturbing to watch, but that is life in an uncivilized society. Be happy we have laws to protect people. If we didn't, life would be like that!
