This just highlighted to me how crappy Malaysian cars are!
It's all due to the shotsightedness of the Malaysian Government imposing massive tariffs on foreign imports. Basically Proton and Perodua have no competition, and as such they fall further and further behind their international rivals.
The real loser is the Malaysian citizen, who pretty much has no choice other than to buy a domestic. It'll eventually kill the companies (who were actually making OK stuff a few years ago) too.
I like how all the cars have a numbered rating system before you show a picture of the car .... and they all have 2/5 for performance, quality, and looks. I like the southeast asia rip-off boyband too.
Please people don't say anything bad about Proton. The Malaysians are a bit touchy and protective about their national car even although it can actually break down on the day you buy it (I'm not making that up, it happens in Malaysia).
merc,bmw took 100 years to become what they are today. proton only about 30 years. so with 30 years experience, you all want to cpmpare with 100 plus plus experience? think people think!!!!!
Should research more.. waja base on old passat, but the engine bay was design base on lancer internal design... that's same goes to gen2 ++ version.. same internal chasis design..
that's why lancer/mirage/evo from 95-onward production engine can be fit in..

in 2000, a replacement model was required in order for Proton to reenter the supermini market. The replacement, originally codenamed the Tiara Replacement Model (TRM) renamed to savvy.. now, that's what we call "related" you sun of a beach !! just like what i did to the persona (wira replacement model) in this video !!! go back to to your tadika lar..
