  • I saw the no smoking sign for the train. Can you smoke at the station while you wait? That is illegal in the states now.

  • @bryanandrewduffy For about 2 years now you haven't been allowed to smoke in public places. Which includes transit terminals as well. Kind of funny how things have changed over the years, since some of the older trains and buses we have had ashtrays installed on the backs of the seats.

  • I like taking the AMT but i take the red line

  • Are these the Bombardier Bi-Levels? They look like them for sure

  • This brings back memories as we used to build the AMT's in Plattsburgh New York now they are made in Montreal....Good Video

  • Are these trains not secure? I mean can you REALLY just walk onto one like that? haha. I am from the USA. So I do not know. ;)

  • @RSN87N Well, it's a commuter train, so it's meant for people to get on to get home, and they operate on the honour-system, so they occasionally check your fare, but not very often since there are usually way too many people to control. But if you evade payment, and ride often, you'll eventually get caught, and be charged between $250-500 for fare evasion. So you take your chances.

  • in july i rode an amt train from lucien l'allier to de la concorde. it was a single level train. this was on my vacation from hadley ma.

  • The locomotive is taking off with no lights on at night...tsk tsk tsk...

  • it doesn't really matter really since its not like there need to be lights pointing towards the rear of the train...

  • Well they do got the rear red lights there and I believe it's there to light up when the locomotive is pushing. AMT makes using them optional, boo2277?

  • Well, i don't know exact rules, but they probably dont care if the rear lights are on because someone is only going to see them once the train has passed and at that point there is no danger.

  • I remember riding commuter trains when they had red lights lit up at the end of the train to warn other trains that might miss the signal and see the back of the train at night.

  • ahhh. didnt think of that. i doubt this occurs very often.
