Well being that Damian is Rastafarian, he has never cut his hair in his life, and soon he began starting natural locks, and throughout the years they matured and got very long. He usually wears his hair up in a dread hat, with a couple hanging down once in a while.

Dreadlocks doesnt belong to any culture. Celtics had them, Some indian shamanist have them. Sufis (muslim) had them Dervishes had them, In Ancient egypt a lot of people had dreads. And even in far east the hunnic people had them. Its most widely known through rastafaris. As they speak and respect the nature i dont know how they cant understand the nature of the human. Any kind of hair, if not brushed, turns into dreads in months. Its the nature of the human hair. Curly and kinky work faster

Hmmmm, if you do it right, they do not look chrocheted. You need a very, very fine needle and the right rechnique. The needles we use are finer than the ones you can buy in a store. We had them specially made for us. I would guess the look will improve though for your dreads. Keep palm rolling them.

Most people use extensions to get locks right.

Yes, we need about 4 inches for our method which consists of dreading your hair directly with the extension hair. If you hair is 2 inches long, you can have extensions braided in, but this can be detected. Methode one is practically not detectable.

I think locks look great on asians! We had a few asian customers. Asian hair is very thick and very straight and therefore harder to lock, but it can be done...with lots of patience.

You are welcome! Save up some money, as I mentioned it is a lot of work and therefore not cheap. Beware of shops that use mostly wax to glue your hair together. It is cheaper, but it does not work and they tell you to not wash your hair for weeks or month. If it is done right, it takes between 8 - 20 hours.

mmh i get dreads at an afro shop and they did it with wax and i think ihave great dreads and i didnt got poblem like other people

instead of the time when i got 2 boxes of wax in my hair but the time went so fast that it doesnt matter

What you wanna do is backcomb them just a little bit everyday, still washing still doing like that, and take care of loose hairs.

My dreads turned out just great at 6th month. And as you probably guessed, i'm at 6th month! We!

Well let me know after you post the video. And by the way. My dreads are soo screwed up, i had to open them up. And after i opened some of them, i saw what the wax really did to my hair. Just dont believe any product dont ever listen what they say. they stick and remain in the dreads even if you put them on your hair a little. The best dreads are just fully natural dreads.

Less dreads are far easier to maintain. We always try to talk people out of getting 100 of them ;). It's less expensive, too and you don't have to worry about them breaking off at some point, because they get harder and thinner over time.

i think after a certain point, less dreads are easier. i tried to backcomb into _really_ thick dreads i.e. bob marley's thick ones or david hinds. eventually they naturally split up.

You are right. However, personally I don't like it when they are stuck together at the roots and split only later. But that is matter of taste I guess. We are all individuals and the great thing about dreads is they are as well :)
