  • Shifts this Mess out of Palestine to some where in Europe and America..... Israel is a Shit .....

  • Sadly, Israel is NOT a democracy. Itis a theocratic state. I have come to believe it is a theocratic monstrosity. You must do this.....think this....act this. This is turning people into robots. The US is a democracy -- mostly Christian....but we try to makeJewish Moslem and other religions important too! Does Irsreal? NO! It has NOclaim to the tile "democracy"..the People, (All the people) rule.

It's a republic, yes....but not a democracy. No wonder 3x as many leave as immigrate!

  • Once the Palestinian issue has been resolved this dispute is going to explode.

  • Ashkenazi Jews THIS IS YOU:I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan

  • Poor Palestinian their homes, people, country everything been destroyed. If they grab a stone and throw it at the occupier the entire world calls them terrorist. No doubt we are protecting the freedom

  • A women in the video claims Orthodox Jews view secular jews are less "jewish", that is categorically untrue. However, the clip implies the Orthodox are foisting their lifestyle on the secular. But what of the reverse? Of attempts to control orthodox institutions of which many preceded the state and even the chalutzim? What of disrespect to graves, autopsies done and gay parades through orthodox enclaves, which are anathema to true Judaism?

  • good video.

  • what, they are jews all over the world, why russian, I have a friend, that hi si frome Guatemala, and hi dosent look like a russian, and he is a jew. but even if they conver, is also valid like any other religion if they convert.

  • I believ that Israel is a jewish state but on the other hand Israel should remain a democracy. And in any Democracy one finds a strick seperation between state and Religion.Thats why a jew does not have to be Religious to be a jew.We all know what makes a person jewish and it is his/her mother.I believe that Israel should remain a secular, western, democratic State. And in this state has everyone the right to perform his or her religion.

  • signs that show how just even modern orthodoxy differs from haredi lifestyle.Or serving in the army.Or eating only chalav/pas yisrael.)

  • Instead of having it a government issue, perhaps an educational overhaul is in order; not only to learn tolerance, but to accept that other forms of judaism are right too. (& before anyone replies saying other forms aren't "halachically correct" -- can a girl learn gemara? some say yes, some say no. it's still halachically permissible, but that issue is just one of many

  • The fact of the matter is is that there has been an ever increasing polarity between the religious and secular. The modern orthodox movement has all but vanished, eaten up by the reform/conservative movements and the haredim. I've seen this polarity everywhere, from the USA to Israel - it's a worldwide trend, and it's a shame.

  • (cont) For instance, I think that yeshiva students should not have go to the army; however, they should have to do sheirut leumi in its stead, which currently the don't have to. Personally, I think it's a shame that all things religion are so integrated into politics. You have an entire political party based soley on religion! With a system like that, working on any real solution, be it compromise or choosing to be either fully secular or relgious,or what-have-you, is almost impossible. (cont)

  • Hmm. Good analysis. Honestly, I think the state can be both. Being an orthodox jewish state is completely out of the question, as is being totally secular (since either way half the country would freak) but concessions might be made, as long as it's a compromise, beneficial to all parties. (cont)

  • Secular shabbat is a time for the wealthy... those that can afford to take private taxis or that can afford cars. Let the religious observe Shabbat and allow the secular to live as they wish too. Who knows if the gap between religious and secular will ever be closed... in fact, I don't think this is what the struggle should be about. Rather it should be about understanding and tolerance: live and let live!
