  • question for poster...was this show on your birthday?

  • Black and White tease!!!!

  • 2:50 was that Page singing?!

  • nice tweezer reprise ending

  • guy in the whites just fucking jamming

  • Very nice cover!

Some of my favourite Led Zeppelin covers can be found on Vanilla Fudge's 2009 reunion album titled "Out Through The In Door". The entire album is chock full of great Zep covers done in true Fudge style ;)...Zep used to open shows for them back in the late 60's...I saw one of these show in Vancouver '69. Nice to see the Fudge pay them this respect...check it out!

  • Not a big phish fan but you need to be deaf to not like this.

  • they just ruined a Good song

  • @STORMHockey101 you obviously know nothing about the idea of covering a song and making it your own. sorry.

  • 2:45 = HOLY FUCK THAT WAS PERFECT

  • 95 trey is FIRE!!!!! man phish can RIP IT UP!

  • zep makes a lot money off phish

  • This is intense. Thanks for posting!

  • best band ever, no debate, no question, it's a fact

  • I know some will say it's a YEM or something, but this is my all-time favorite Phish cover and probably favorite Phish song (the transition is excellent, trey is on fire). They're my favorite band but when i heard this, my mind was blown.

  • thanks silverchair97!

  • ->

  • pretty epic

  • tweeeprise at the end sooo sick!!!!

  • Micheal Jacksons Black or white in the intro.. Such a great cover !!!!!!!!!

  • chalkdusted

  • Best phish cover. most listened to phish song. amazing.

  • The sickness. They did play accoustic army. The next year was the one with the bad weather in Omaha. Lincoln was packed because of K-State Nebraska(NU routed Chad May's Wildcats). Nearest hotel room was in Omaha. Had all the black and white teases in the 2nd set. A sick run. Bounced all around midwest for two weeks from KC to Quadrophenia. Used to have all of these on crappy Maxell tapes. Glad Phish released this one.

  • Where the fuck is the singing at the end coming from?

  • @SnizzPants : That would be Page McConnell (on keyboards, not seen).

  • @SnizzPants They segue into a reprise of a Phish song called "Tweezer" (so technically, Tweezer Reprise). This is why Phish was so good. Insane!

  • Did they play Acoustic Army this show? Didn't they? If not the two shows ran together in my memory...did they? Seems so recently!

  • I was at this show. Incredible show. Fun night in Nebraska.

  • oh my god...

  • Holy Segue, Batman!!!

  • ridiculous

  • CHECKMATE

  • its so hard to float the vocal line while playing those guitar parts....he only has the change the rhythm once or twice. Well done Trey! Wish i could have seen Phish in the mid 90's! Best band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • holy shit... what year was this? what a fucking sick band

  • Definitely their best version of GTBT

  • "If music be the food of love, play on"

    This is a FEAST

  • trey is doing Jimmy and Robert here. fucking crazy

  • Wow that was great im not that familiar with Phish's music but way better than godsmacks lousy cover

  • @jesse1291 checked them out yet; Trey is a modern day Jimmi Page. He doesn't quite get the licks all the time but this isnt his song. Jimi would miss Fluffhead licks too.....but when it comes to straight jamming...Trey is one of the best.

  • @pcburgh01 Yeah I have listened to a lot of Phish since i first watched this. I would call Trey a modern day Page more like a modern day Zappa(speaking strictly in terms of his guitar work). Trey's improvisation skills are amazing.

  • @pcburgh01 Yeah I have listened to a lot of Phish since i first watched this. I wouldny call Trey a modern day Page more like a modern day Zappa(speaking strictly in terms of his guitar work).

  • nails that solo

  • One of the great moments in Phish history. My friends and I sat down without speaking for the first five minutes of set break.

I spoke with Page in the lot the next night and asked him if they had ever rehearsed Reprise in E before (usually in D) and he laughed and said no that it just happened. You can tell when Trey's head shoots to look at Mike when the Reprise starts erupting.

Unbelievable. I had no idea this video existed. Top 5 favorite moments in my over 150 shows. Hallelujah!!!

  • My first Phish show. Never forget it.

  • what an epic phirst show to go to

seriously one of my favorite of all time

reelin' in the years tease at the start ftw

  • I'm so happy that Phish released and mastered this show.

    This is fucking beautiful.

  • WOW that was awesome gave me chills down my back! only three days until Indio!!!!

  • Machine Gun Trey

  • what song is the riff he plays at the beginning from?

  • Michael Jackson Black or White

  • the candyman from charlie and the chocolate factory

  • Michael Jackson's "Black or White"

  • This is just insane. Best version of the song ever. Close to Zep themselves. Plus the INSANE jam and Tweeprise.

  • insane segue, maybe this year they'll finally do an MJ cover at the festival

  • black or white- michael jackson.

    whoever said Jessica....

  • It's pretty hard to cover Zeppelin well, but this is just awesome.

  • i was not expecting the reprise at the end, i think i just peed a little bit.

  • what riff does trey play in the beginning? i can hear the song in my head but cannot remember the band for the life of me.

  • Michael Jackson-Black or white

  • "Jessica" by The Allman Brothers Band

  • Comment removed

  • isn't it hungry like the wolf by DD?

  • isn't it hungry like the wolf?

  • check out the highway to hell cover from this show

  • Fuckin' A.

  • Nice. Great sound.

  • This is the greatest of all you tube clips

    phish or otherwise

  • I know I've said this before about other Phish videos on here, but I'll say it again. I think I'd gladly quit my teaching job, put the wife and toddler in a camper, and follow this group around. Disturbingly enough, the wife agrees. Waaay too tempting. I'm 35 and I still get absolutely pumped when I hear them play. It's like some crazy audio drug...

  • the crowd definitely needed 15 to put their faces back on after that one

  • Phish was on fire during this period. Trey is playing Jimmy Page's part on guitar while singing Robert Plant's.

  • great comment dude...thats why Trey is amazing

  • h3tty!!!

  • my head just exploded.

  • this is sick

  • WOW! Their best Good Times of all time. Goosebumps when tweezer hits. Thanks silver!

  • this just made my night.

as always, thanks for posting silverchair.
