I think that it's beyond just the look. It's about language and texture as well. Even if it looked 80's but it didn't sound 80's or feel 80's then the look would be irrelevant... Not to get too artsy on you. But I think that is important. We mostly just saturated and tried a little bit of softening. High Definition and digital didn't really exist back then. So we just tried to make it slightly fuzzy and supercolorful. Hope than answers ur question.
