The heels on Raiden are specifically designed and outfitted to be this way, they are specially designed to grip onto objects, e.g. poles, swords, anything that sticks out, they provide extra grip on slippery surfaces, it helps with balance on high places, e.g. when climbing things, it helps with the jumping power and precision when landing from a high jump. Raidens Cool.
