Mayer is definitely a good guitar player, but I really don't enjoy his music. And while I appreciate that he tried to honor Gabriel . . . it just didn't work. :/
Mayer looks and sounds like someone shoved a plunger up his poop hole...what a tabloid, "reality" generation tool. He lost all credibility as a serious musician long ago.
John starts with a "traditional" blues called "get out of my life, woman" by Allen Toussaint and segues into Gabriel's "sledgehammer" - interesting musically but worst thematic segue ever. Mr. Mayer has taken smug to a whole new level. And yes, I can do better.
@bamboosa wow really, i would absolutely love to see you do better than john mayer. he would destroy you in anything you challenged him to musically and probably just anything in general. and if you can do better than him as you say why aren't you more famous than him right now??? so stop being a cocky douchebag and just shut up and enjoy the real musicians
