Hmm, Bull Moose's website is still saying that tickets are still available for the 29th, but I really wouldn't know. Also, according to the article in the Portland Press Herald, they're putting together an album of previous unused material as well as new songs that will be released independently to coincide with the shows.
Update: The Rustic Overtones will be playing two shows at the Asylum in Portland, ME the weekend of July 27th. Saturday the 28th will be a 21+ show, and Sunday the 29th will be for all ages. Tickets can be bought at Bull Moose Music stores for $22 each. Can't Wait! ^_^
haha no problem. All i know is that the shows are suposed to happen the weekened of the 27th i believe. But i can find out for sure. I know that they're trying to keep it somewhat of a surprise thing so they aren't saying much. But i'll find out as much as possible and post what i find out.

um actually its just a reunion. Yes they have made new songs and they are really good ones. But i don't believe they are actually getting back together for good. VERRYY reliable source.
Also, I believe that there are rumors of a new album in the works, but I unfortunately cant verify that. The last fan overtones fan site in existence, rustic-overtones . com, seems like they'll be covering the reunion news, so I suggest checking back there frequently, although I'll post everything I find out here as soon as I hear it. Can't wait!

Since this is sadly the closest thing on the entire internet to a Rustic Overtones forum, I just wanted to say how exciting I am for the announcement today that the Overtones are getting back together! ^_^ I was listening to Portland's WCYY earlier, and Tony McNaboe, Dave Gutter, and (I'm pretty sure) Steven Albee were on, and apparently they're going to be playing some reunion shows this summer, the first being a WCYY patio show!
I was at U Maine Orono when they were hanging around. I got to see them a few times in various fraternity houses. This was back in the "Brand New Friend" days.

the bassist for the former rustic overtones (Jon Roods) is be brother in law
but they broke up a few years ago... now theyre in two bands, "as fast as" and "paranoid social club" the singer and my brother are in PSC
