i think i like the 911 vs. GTR comparison better than a 911 vs evora comparison because 911s are a little harder to handle, but have great, powerful engines, while a lotus is generally a little weak in the straightaways, but a monster in the corners.

don't bring up the 370Z or its sister car, the G37. the only resembelance they have to the Genesis Coupe is the roofline, which is basically used for almost every 2+2 in the market.

I find it odd that anyone who can afford a Aston Martin would live in the city. I guess some people just really like living in congested areas. If thats the case having a weekend car and a small car for driving around town makes sense.
You guys have got to cover the new XKR. I drove it at Monticello this weekend and the car is hands down the hottest car I have driven in years. Better then the Aston or Corvette Z06. Saving up to buy one in 6 months.

Lexus models were sold as Toyotas in other countries until 2005 (LS400 was Toyota Celsior; GS was Toyota Aristo, IS was Toyota Altezza, SC was Toyota Soarer, etc.)
Same deal with Infiniti (G20 was Nissan Primera; G35 is Nissan Skyline; Q45 was Nissan President, etc.)
The Hyundai still has the Hyundai name and no new division.

True, but Hyundai is a Korean brand. Plus, Lexus is a brand based off of an existing Japanese brand that was introduced in the American market. I know from personal experience that if you ask people who owns Lexus, many will reply that it's its own company, so people averse to buying a Toyota will still sometimes buy a Lexus. But the Hyundai is still going to be a Hyundai, and there are a LOT of people who flat out refuse to buy a Hyundai in any form, let alone a ~$60,000 Hyundai.

I think the evora should have the Nissan VQ37 in it, i know lotus has a history with toyota, but the VQ seems like a better fit. at least it was made for a sports car in the first place.

an engine doesnt have to be made for a sports car to be put in a sports car, the reason the toyota engine may not seam very quick is becuase the toyota is alot heavier than the lotus, so with the same power the lotus will have much more kick.

Almost halfway through 2009. Aston Martin Cygnus? I think Aston Martin should have made it like the coolest front/RWD mini car- the Suzuki Cappuccino! Cuddly cute Aston Martin, dare I say. The Equus is very Lexus-like. I've never hated the Evora. That's a great-looking Lotus. I could never catch on with the Esprit, but I CAN catch on for damn sure with the Evora. That Saab somewhat reminds me of a late 1990s Chysler Sebring with 2002 Mazda 6 lights. Fail, That's an okay-looking Gallardo.
