Interesting. Any updates??? I think my friend had a similar issue. What is that area called Metro Tech? It was years ago and I'm a little hazy. I think it was off Myrtle Ave right b/t the bridges.
I always thought that when I recieve from the government they are giving that which I gave through permissable method and not siezed. Although taxation could be seen as a siezing activity. In merry ole England only the king's cronies could own property which would be a reason(basis) to leave and come here. But this royalty concept of rights tio own land by taking it seems to be pretty well used.
Brooklynites love to accept government handouts in abundance. Everything from social programs to development projects. But a government that gives you goodies also gets to take away goodies.
Few from Brooklyn protest the unconstitutional income tax, Social Security payments, Head Start programs.
Eminent domain is terrible. But look around and notice all the other equally terrible government actions going on in your community.
This is one reason why I left Brooklyn many years ago.
