The Government want peaceful prostests because at the end of the day nothing will be done and the government will go about their normal daily business. When protests causes a disruption then the government will take notice. The news isn't about facts and figures anymore but about opinions, emotion and influencing public perceptions. The honest worker is taxed to high heven whereas the big bankers and companies get away with tax havens and not contributing to society like the normal working people. If these bankers contribtued and paid their taxes like everyone else maybe education could be free for everyone. Its the case now where only the rich can afford an education. Anyway if any future protests occur I fear the police will be allowed to use more forceful means to ensure it's not the same outcome.

Everytime the police are in the spotlight they leave serious questions about their actions and preparations and quite frankly their abilities. No one condones the 12 police officers hurt or the 43 protesters. listening to the police chiefs trying to spin things their way was also an insult to our eyes and ears, were they even there, who do they get their information from. They stood up for their rights something we should all be doing they say it takes a new generation to implement change!
