please tell me this is really rare and doesn't happen in every eritrean wedding unless the couple are popular cuz my cousin (more like brother) who is eritrean maternally is getting married with his eritrean fiance and i have to be her maid-of-honor, im not too crazy about the swords either...but i guess i have to respect their culture....someone please answer my question... thank you

Since marriage is a life time commitment, the wedding ceremony and the reception has to be perfect(the couples happiest moment). The only advice I can give you is planning, planning, planning.
