Great version of this song, love your CC 12 too, I just bought one recently, love it to bits, great sound, easy to play, beast of an instrument, beats overpriced Taylors anyday.
well, actually my friend, to be perfectly honest I didnt much like the ColeClark 12 - the bestest of the best I found was a Taylor 354 ce 12 - yea, a hell of a lot more - but beat em all including the Martin D 28 12 which I loved. You were so correct in saying it's all down to personal choice. Keep inspiring others!
@davidjohnalpha good choice! Taylors are fantastic guitars(much more expensive than CC however). main reason I prefer CC over most brands, is all CC products have entirely solid timber, they are hand made, they have brilliant pickups and they are really cheap for the quality you get. I'm not familiar with the Taylor 354 ce 12, but I doubt that being a Taylor you will be getting a bad guitar, one thing I might recomend, if you havent already, is be sure to test the CC and taylor plugged in! ;)
these are terrific appraisals Tomo - with your permission I will copy and send them to ColeClark (whom I spoke with this a.m.) - I tend to meander with a classical pick style so it seems the Blackwood may well be best suited - have only tried a FL 1 tho (no FL2-12s in Adelaide [I'll order one ;)] - I do love the bunya; the action and frets were a tad high and bold 4 me, not quite as warm as expected but she's only just out of the 'womb'. Thanks again for your insights and touch mate!
@davidjohnalpha No worries mate! Yeah, straight out from the factorie they tend to have medium-ish action, that's the standard set up they come with. I got my action ajusted on both mine to the minimum, because thats how I prefer it, especilly for finger picking style =)
cool, that's what I wanted to hear - looking at a FL2a but has a Blackwood body rather than the maple - are you aware of any tone character difference?
@davidjohnalpha The blackwood will still sounds amazing, it really does come down to personal taste, but I find that the Mayple is a very loud and is just a very good all round wood (Which is why I like it most), so for example, i find that when you really play hard and strum or pick the hell out of the strings it still sounds amazing and keeps its unique tone, and when you play really quiet it still sounds really great too.
@davidjohnalpha Were as blackwood is a quiter wood and perhaps not as good for agressive picking, I have found. but keep in mind this is my opinion, which is based off my two guitars, my FL1A 12 with blackwood and my FL2A with QLD maple. You really should find a FL1 or 2 with QLD back and sides and give it a go.
And as for the sound board, both my guitars have spruce, so i cant comment on that. but i do know that the other option, which is bunya, is 18% stronger than spruce =)
@davidjohnalpha The main difference is the FL2 has binding around the edges and the FL1 does not, and the FL2 has 'AA' grade wood and the FL1 has 'A' grade, which basically means that the 'AA' grade is carved from a 'nicer' part of the tree.
I find that the FL2s have a more full sound than the FL1s, and the QLD maple back and sides has the best tone =) QLD maple is also much cheaper than the other woods because it is easeir to get.
@davidjohnalpha Thanks mate. Hell yeah definatly go for it! I would highly recomend, if you can afford to go the FL2 model over the FL1, then get an FL2 with QLD maphul back and sides! It will be the best money you will have ever spent =)
@Metallicabd4444 no, but the Cole Clark guitars use a unique tecnology called Face Brace, and it means one of the soundboard braces is a pick up, and it picks up really great precussive sound ;)
@CanadaGuy80 Thanks dude! yeah, this is the only cover of Andys original stuff i can do, the only other is Everybody Wants to Rule The World :) I'll Upload some new stuff soon me thinks :)
Hey nice vid. I love my Cole Clark FL1 - I've posted a vid of me playing my FL1 in response. Let me know what you think... Thanks

I want to have sex with this guitar.
Not just a one night stand though.
I want to make sweet love to it, marry it, and start a family with it :)
THAT IS ALL!
