I've been once to Kashmir and neighboring Ladakh and interacted with several Kashmiris in Delhi, I'd know.

No, Kashmir is only the Valley. The other areas of J&K do no follow kashmiri culture. It is like Persians are Iranians but not all Iranians are Persian, yet when we think of Iran, we only think of the people who speak Farsi, read Rumi, and follow Persian culture.
