5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is aeven all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a ashame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

so what color veil do u like?

  • also there is a dark veil over your mind and you cannot see the truth but he can unveil it and show himself to you by just asking

  • SingwellaDeb, I doubt it is a veil. Just reason. Try it sometime.

  • Jesus is above our reasoning and understanding...his ways are devine and awesome...and he loves you dearly...and he is the only way to heaven. Jesus died for you. And the bible is written by God..Call upon his name and you shall be saved..

  • swingwellaDeb, I was a Christian up to several years ago. These are things I used to say myself. It's no different than any other person who believes or believed previously in their personal deity. You are proselytizing because you believe he exists.

The bible is not a book of authority to me. Only to you. You have not listened to these videos or done research on the subject. I ask you refrain from proselytizing.

  • singwellaDeb, Jesus or any god/many religions claim to have the one true god - should be clear to you on understanding. There should be no problem in understanding. You are not his messenger, just a brainwashed person parroting what you have been told.

  • i am proof god exsists and you are proof he lives..

  • SingwellaDeb, I don't come to your channel to tell you how unfortunate you are for believing in Jesus as you have a choice. You are superstitious and believe you have to bother people into believing in your god. No one has an obligation to your god but you.

You need to prove a god exists and it is best to keep your pious, self-righteous beliefs to yourself and leave the rest alone.

  • i am commanded to tell you that he loves you..and just cause you stand in a garage doesnt make you a car..and ones calling themselves a christain does not make it so..if you knew jesus youd be with me on this not against me

  • But he does love you that i do know..he made you and your loved

  • I just want to thank you sincerely for this reading. I am so grateful to hear this passage from Ingersoll (my life-long hero) set to the haunting music from A Mid Summer Night's Dream and read with such poise and tranquility. I can't thank you enough.

  • ghostofday, thank you for your kind comments.

I appreciated them very much. :)

  • Yay!!

  • Thank you. I'm an Ingersoll fan too. It's funny how everyones respective beliefs all seem like common sense to them. It's also funny how many people with beliefs try to say that a lack of belief is a belief. Oh well.

  • notfromtheseparts, Isn't that the truth! They seem to 'know' far more than anyone else on the subject of the unseen. No proof, however. We have to believe their authority on the subject and they are all experts. LOL

  • Well hey, if you look at the sun you can plainly see that it orbits around the earth every day. Obviously no proof is required for that because it's just common sense. :D

  • notfromtheseparts, common sense is more of what we need. :)

  • Rhonda, for lack of truth great evils have been done. It takes courage to seek the truth, and even more courage to speak the truth. Thank you, you are a kindred spirit, in deed. ***** Luv Hans:-)

  • Hans, always glad to meet a kindred spirit. We do need each other. Luv to you as well. :)

  • There are only five verses at the end of the book of Joshua that could not have been written by him. Couldn't those verses have been written by someone else that knew him? I don't see how this can be used to simply discard the possibility of the book containing truth.

Also, what evidence is there that those claims against Moses are true? I only heard the author making assertions without backing it up.

  • JoshuaPettigrew, I suppose you could do some research on that. :)

  • im sorry you dont know jesus as i do.he lives in me and shows himself daily to me and answers all my prayers...he loves you...he is waiting for you to except him jesus

  • It is indignant and disrespectful as a human being if you continue to proselytize. Your god will send me to eternal torture as an infidel and heretic. You think somehow others are unforunate and you are superior. Very flawed logic. Not a message of love. Jesus is among many savior gods if you do research.

  • There is no evidence of millions of Hebrews living as slaves in Egypt... no evidence in registered Egyptian records of an important head of state called Zafnat-panea (Joseph)... no evidence of millions of people traveling between Egypt and Palestine. The book of Joshua refers to Nephilim (giant people - bwtween 10 and 14 foot tall- descendants of fallen angels) that lived in or near Jericho, of which, as well ,there is not evidence at all. Make you own conclutions

  • chepech, Based on evidence, many people have believed in thousands of gods where there has never been a bit of evidence. The bible is full of contradictions and problems. Yet people tend to believe all the stories in it are completely true. Thanks for your great comment.

  • It`s the fear of god driven into them by the

church/preachers to protect their own presence. Without this, there would be no

    reason for the churchs/preachers existence.

  • Humanity over-all, has perceived hundreds of gods of this World and vast Universe, and most were fashioned by manipulating patriarchal human minds, for their times.

But, if instead, Humanity had been dominated by matriarchal societies, through-out our evolution, it could very well have produced totally different gods, more loving, secular, compassionate and probably far more focused on Nature and mother! Earth, than dominance, hell-fire and eternal sex.

  • danielnz1, I have pondered this as well. The societies that have been patriarchal have always been known to be far more violent and aggressive. Very good point to make. Thank you so much. :)

  • I wouldn't mind the eternal sex part. He!He! On the other hand it would depend on who the eternal sex would be with.

  • Thank you for your kind words variablast. :)

  • Nice reading, sweet lady. I enjoyed it. :)

  • trollasaurus, thanks so much my friend. :)

  • The music adds an amazing element to the video itself.

  • clicb4, I enjoy classical music. Noble sounding music while reading the writings of a noble man. It just went so well together. :)

  • Yeah, it gave it a "heavenly" feel. Strange, yet intriguing. :)

  • I think he is heavenly. :)

  • Indeed, Classical music should always be a requirement for reading any text. Good vid Rhonda. (:

  • stagism, nothing more relaxing in the world. :)

  • How very true, my favorite classical music is Vivaldi or Mozart. (:

  • stagism, hey that is ours too! :)

  • Very nice Rhonda. (:

  • That was an excellent reading Rhonda, you have a voice that is easy to listen to. I like the sound of this Colonel Robert Green Ingersoll. I've never had the privilege of being exposed to his wisdom before. The things that were mentioned about how it has been accepted knowledge that these old books weren't written by those they say they were, or even at the times they say they were, just annoys me that folk still hold these scraps to be divine.

  • bootstaple. What people hold divine seems to lie in the things that are dead and useless and we need to inspire people to hold divine those things that are full of life and tangible. No writer does this better than Ingersoll. He continues on to the NT as well.

  • I love this! I was thinking of doing the same but in Spanish. I have the whole thing on my myspace site, and the podcast can be downloaded too via iTunes or other audio programs. 5/5!

  • Hurtman2000, keep talking about it. Spanish would be excellent. Smart thinking! Wonderful. :)

  • hmm, very interesting .. cant wait for the other pt's

  • cheezeba11, I have another one up now. Thanks :)

  • Rhonda, such a peaceful reading. I very much enjoyed it. I think you should read an essay every now and again on your videos. It's so good to hear well written work that has withstood the test of time.

  • mwest1234, thanks so much. I totally agree that this has withstood the test of time. It applies today. Hard to believe there are people who frown on freethinking and expression when it comes to their old, dusty worn out ideas and religion. :)

  • What a truly inspiring video babe, I love when you read these things to me, it stirs such emotion, boardering on tears. For how is it that such words can come from man?

  • I certainly remember reading many of his writings to you. Some of his writings brought a tear to my eyes. He is definitely the greatest of all. :)

  • Really fantastic choice! I look forward to hearing more. In fact, I'll have to read what he's written sometime.

  • earthseeker, I have posted a link to all his writings on part 2, which is uploaded now. Enjoy. :)

  • Thanks!

  • earthseeker you are welcome ;)

  • Great reading Rhonda!

  • dragon2wolf thanks much my friend. :)

  • looking forward to the rest....!

  • heatherlynblue, hey there! So glad you stopped by and glad to see you are doing fine. :)

  • Thanks, Rhonda! I first began to free myself from chcurch, god and hell when I discovered Ingersoll. It was a revelation! About the same time I became acquainted with Bertrand Russell. Between them they made it clear that the bible was nonsense, and that real freedom began when religion was left behind. Ingersoll was one of the best known men of the nineteenth century, but he's hard to find in a 21st century library. I wonder why!

  • Largo64, It was the same for me. Ingersoll is truly an inspiration. I did wonder why he isn't more revered today and of course we do know why. Freethought is not as freely respected as people would want to think, in our society. Our society is closed minded when it comes to analyzing religion.

  • I remember first reading Ingersoll and thinking..."did he write this yesterday?" I can't wait to hear the rest. Thank-you so much for this Rhonda... :-)

  • Truatheist, some things are timeless aren't they? His common sense, knowledge and perception of things are valuable wisdom for today's world as well. Thanks for stopping by my friend. :)

  • Sigh, and all I worry about is losing family.

  • abnormalfunctions we all do. thanks for dropping in and making a comment. :)

  • "The clergy know that I know that they know that they do not know."- Robert Green Ingersoll, American politician and lecturer (1833-1899).

"Why should I allow that same God to tell me how to raise my kids, who had to drown His own?" - Robert G. Ingersoll

  • KasparHauser4, yes so true. My favorite saying of Ingersoll's is: "Hands that help are far better than lips that pray."

  • I love Ingersoll so clear ... so relentless:-)

  • TheModestAgnostic, I love Ingersoll also. He is poignant and poetic.

  • Excellent vid. You did a great job bringing Ingersolls work to light.

  • Thanks Maxicolly. Ingersoll is my favorite of all time.

  • Great vid...5 stars! Can't wait for the other parts :)

  • thanks humanforpresident. I have part 2 up now. :)

  • Well read Rhonda, interesting and cool glasses !

  • thanks Michaeljholme :)
