I don't give a dam what nobody say about kelly hansen the man jams all by his own reputation he don't need to live up to Lou....hes doing dam good all by his self with Foreigner thank you!!!
Ya, Kelly does a good job, he certainly tries to sound like Lou... however, he doesn't quite have the range like Lou. This is definitely a Foreigner song, but can see Lou singing it much better.
@Jersey631 But you have to remember Lou doesn't have the range he used to have either. Not even because of the cancer he had, but also because he is getting old. It happens to everyone. Their voices deepen and they lose alot of their range. I'd say for Kelly's age he's almost spot on to what Lou would sound like if it was just his age that made him not able to sing and not the cancer that got to him.
Hmm, I have to say it's a good song, but it's hard to see it as a Foreigner song, even tough Kelly Hansen resembles Lou Gramm somewhat. And it's not only Lou gone, but also Rick and Dennis. Mick Jones did too many changes. Why he just couldn't leave things alone?
@PurpleInTheDeep I agree. It's a good band but Mick should have changed the name. The Mick Jones Band would have been fine. And all Foreigner fans would know who he was. It's a good record and it would have sold just as well.
He does a halfway decent job of mimicking Lou's voice, but really....Lou is the voice of Foreigner. I mean..."Feels Like The First Time" was released by a band named Spooky Tooth, so why should "Too Late" be released by a band called Foreigner?
Mick Jones was a member of Spooky Tooth, but he wrote "Feels Like the First Time" long after Spooky Tooth broke up. It was released on Foreigner's first LP, and was the smash hit song that launched the success of the band.
@orfirer You misunderstood my comment because I failed to catch my typo. I meant to say "Feels Like The First Time" WASN'T released by a band named Spooky Tooth, so why should "Too Late" be released by a band called Foreigner?" See? Now it makes sense!

This Kelly does a great job at singing all of the old Foreigner too. Of course when I saw the 70's version band, Lou Gramm was a freakin' mess!

Kelly Hanson is a great replacement for Lou Gramm. I saw Lou Gramm about 3 years ago and he sounded really bad, and was very fat! Go Kelly!

@john0763 I coudn't agree more. Can't Slow Down must be a good record indeed. If it was also succesful, I'm glad. But for me, Foreigner is Lou.
