@XagenER There is an overall story to the series. However, even if you only played Myst IV you'll still be able to fully understand the back story / what you may have missed. The books in Myst IV are especially helpful.

@sirlancealot69er In answer to your question, this video walkthrough is for the PC version only. However, if you're asking if there is an Xbox version then yes. Myst IV was made for Windows, OS X, and the Xbox. That being said, I would try a Google search or Amazon if you're looking to buy a copy. Hope this answers your question.

@2HornDogs If you are referring to Atrus and Catherine visiting their sons, Atrus designed an impenetrable sphere (on both sides) with the linking books safely inside. Also, Atrus had invented a piece of technology called a "crystal viewer", which allowed him and his wife to see their sons without actually visiting said prison worlds.

I miss playing this game. It was my favorite before I got a new computer... my Mac Book Pro is running on Mac OS X: Version 10.6.3 and from what I read, Revelation only runs on Version 10.5 or lower... or something like that. I'm not really technically minded, so I don't know if that's true or not. If anybody can tell me a way to play Myst IV on my Mac Book Pro, I'd be eternally grateful! Thanks in advance!!

I always found it funny how Yeesha calls a camera an "image recorder" but says rather modern things like "cool!" even though this game is set pre-20th century (as opposed to Uru and Myst V). ;)

The only hard thing about this game for me in particular, was that I could not see small things like notches in spire, and so I had trouble getting the sliders in place.

Best opener in the entire series! I especially like the soundtrack they had for # 4. The only biff I had with this one is how difficult the puzzles were. Almost always I got so frustrated, and amazed with the length needed to solve jus one puzzle. Especially the Spire.

Yeah, I've had the pack with Myst, Riven, and Exile for about 4 years, bought Revelation about a year ago. Also, 1:12 is epic.
