  • God, take me back to those days.....

  • Comment removed

  • i was 15 years old when i first listened to ebm music and my life changed forever!

  • I think Douglas was the hottest guy in the EBM scene..i wish guys nowadays would still wear outfits like that :D

  • 7 people aren't joining in the chant. That's because they are listening to smurf chav gabba.

  • Das ist im Dorian Gray in Frankfurt

  • amazing!

  • Probably one of the best basslines of EBM, or of electronic music period. I'll never forget the first time I heard this track out of somebody's car off a rough mixtape (remember those, and I don't mean dj mixed.. )I was like WHAT is THAT... what is that guy's PROBLEM?! Then I realized it was totally awesome.

  • Life was pretty good back then

  • Scheiße da war ich !! Was für´ne geile Zeit !!

  • the only was is up by Yazz

  • I loved this period. It was more about function than fashion.

Go to the club, dress casual or whatever,

get out on the dance floor ,

stomp on anyone who gets in your way (girls included),

then hug and shake hands at closing time,

    go to Denny's,

come home and get 3 hours of sleep,

fall asleep in class or work later that day

say you'll NEVER do that again,

and be first in line at the club next week!

  • ESTO ES UN TEMAZO,PURA ENERGIA

  • i watched a couple "vogueing" to this in the basement club bar of the frock and jacket in brighton back in 89, mind blowing.

  • pa vernos matao !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • electronic BODY music

  • WHY was I not alive to witness this?! WHYYYY!!!

  • MUSCLE AND HATE!!!!!

  • Love them!

  • I want to be there! :D i was born in 1989! :D

  • Nitzer Ebb is/was the greatest Industrial band ever. Good memories!

  • this is unreal.

  • Lasers n' Spandex, baby!

  • I like this version better then album one.

  • @Rwwrpt Word. This one sounds a lot more raw.

  • F****N Amazing!!!!!! There's something so obscure and special about the U.K. when it comes to Music.....

  • I miss DJM's shorts pants.

  • The quality of Nitzer, is that they created an energy that could compel you to go from the office in your nice make-the-boss-happy tie, or the classroom attentive, to a club such as this, and WILLINGLY, JOYOUSLY, want to smash your head open on the dude next to you. It was magic people.

  • England`s finest EBM band. Crossed over into the New Beat style and we still love `em now. Timeless.

  • Love the rivethead going mental near the front at around 0:58 :D

  • I had a girlfriend in 1991 that introduced me to "industrial" music, and Nitzer Ebb, KMFDM, Ministry, Nine Inch Nail. Pretty cool stuff. Oh, yeah, and Front 242.

  • @Delticola Good for you. I´ve been along for the hole ride since Kraftwerk started out i the late 60:es. I never liked the Beatles very much so they where my salvation in life.

  • INCREIBLE!

  • Very powerful and original (yea I know in the early days they sounded like DAF but so what?)Beats the crap out of all this emo nonsense these days.

  • NEW WORD ORDER

  • Minimal yet beautiful at the same time, I love these guys.

  • As a 44 year old man, this music makes me as fired up and violent as when I saw them live at the Glen Miller Ballroom on the Univ. of Colorado campus in 1992. Fantastic, wish I had a time traveling machine!

  • I remember they came to my hometown of Pittsburgh at the "Metropol" nightclub in the Strip District back in 1989. And they headlined in one of the local newspapers the following day due to the enormous industrial techno crowd they drew in from the tri-state area. A phenomenal and brilliant talent. ♥ Love Nitzer Ebb! ♥ They're still going strong and currently on tour in Europe! Just saw a clip from Warsaw, Poland. ♥ :)

  • >>> the little tabs made us all join in the chant back then .....late 80's /early 90's were awesome here in Houston,Tx.

  • authentic industrial and electronic body music, just show the underground scene of the 80's, musical quality with no doubt !!

  • Electronic Buddy Music!

  • @Abraxas80

    Real EBM

  • @Abraxas80

    Not Buddy but Body :-D

  • yeah they are cause they dont do fucking business things....they are about they goal and church...TARGET MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!

love NE!!!!! thank you guys for everything!!! EBM and INDUSTRIAL!!! fuck I just saw them!!!!!

  • I must say that I am a bit brought down by this clip. they look so ordinary.

  • What were you expecting? Some sort of Combichrist wank fest!!

  • No, but I was'nt expecting to see a kid in short pants either.

  • but look at that fancy half-shirt on the back up guy..

  • A person who uses the term "goth" in their name must not know anything about industrial, rivitheads, and anything underground. Goths are what people from the real scene make fun of.

    IN CASE YOU DIDNT KNOW!

also, respect your elders, and respect the origins.

  • Young fresh fruit.

  • Nitzer Ebb aren't goths anyway, don't kid yourself...

  • I'll see them next month in dortmund. I can hardly wait to =)

  • jeeeeeeee, ma este nagy lesz! :P

  • This rhythm has made it's way to every respectable club on Earth- they often fade out and mix in a newer track. legendary industrial riff that will live forever.

  • I was born in 1972, and I have dance many times to this as I was a teenager, absolutetly awasome!!!

  • Saw them in Orlando a few weeks ago, and he was lip singing. I couldn't believe it!

  • Saw them live 22 years ago and again 2 days ago. They haven't changed!!! (Except the shorts are now pants). LOVE NE.

  • Saw them live last week... BRILLIANTTTTTT!!!

  • why did i have to be born in 1992??

  • I feel your pain...1993 :(

  • Me born 1970. This stuff was on half the time at those dance clubs I used have to go to get laid. Much better than that depech camode crap that was played the other half of the time though.

  • I like the album version but holy flying hell I love Join In The Chant live... this is Join In The Chant (Gold!) version I think

I love it! Nitzer Ebb hell yeah

    mvh

  • Tee Hee BaddaBigBoom, I saw them at the Subterrania (would that be 20 years ago really?). Was great fun. Probably changed my life... :)

  • i remember that concert and the sound not real from the concert but nice u did that

  • very well done merging the ebbhead live with the showtime tour vid.

  • lol this is the live version from the ebbhead singles

  • Fantastic audio quality.

But there seems to be a little delay between image and sound.

  • The audio track is taken from a show they did at Subterrania in the UK in summer 1991. They released a CD with live tracks recorded from that show at the beginning of 1992. The audio track is the live version of Join IN the Chant from that CD.

  • Fredsel you won't believe, I also loved that song from an old tape, and now finally I know whats its name! Great song!!!!

  • Finally found the song _O_. I heard it on an oldschool tape and didn't know the name of the song. I've been looking for ages for it.

  • Wow sounds souspiciously like playback

  • muscles and hate !!!

  • wicked vid! thanks!

  • Ahh the memories, I saw them at (here we go) Subterrania, The Rocket (very loud gig), The Astoria...somewhere in Folkestone -numerous other venues. I got bruised many times! I saw them alongside Miranda Sex Garden at least once -yay! jrollet ...Gracias :-)

  • wooow what a great beat, its timeless music.I paid a fortune to get this CD worth every cent cause there'e other remix, again wow

  • This video reminds me soooo much of the old 9:30 club in Washington, DC when they were still on F St.

  • AWESOME

  • Really good find brother. Excellent vid. Except for the bald dudes tang/top belly shirt, thats pretty gay. But hey! Its late 80s. I just wish i was older at the time of their popularity.

  • Awesome Awesome !!!!!!!

  • they are goooood!!!!!!!!

  • Great quality, excellent performance...dosen't get any better than this.

    Thank you poster!

  • I miss the days of live dance music, I never thought they would end...

  • they didnt

  • i thought they were saying - joint in his hand! he he!

  • MUSCLE AND HATE!!!! fukyea!!!!

  • This guy is officially wasted, the song never seems to age though.

  • The chant: How much did you pay Cabaret Voltaire for those handclaps? How much did you pay Cabaret Voltaire for those handclaps? How much did you pay Cabaret Voltaire for those handclaps? How much did you pay Cabaret Voltaire for those handclaps? ...

  • Sounds a like like a Front 242 track, I can't put my finger on it though.

  • Sounds like but it's not. It is a Nitzer Ebb track.

I like Nitzer Ebb but Front 242 is a notch higher...

  • i WAS there! fantastic live gig. i was swaeting from totally freakin out on this groove (i'm not the NEUBAUTEN-T-shirt guy ;-) )

  • Oldschool classic.

  • it's got the ultimate groove!

  • THE BEST

  • the guy in the neubauten shirt is cool

  • Hell yeah!

  • ...are they english ... ??? im sure they are ... yaya england :D

  • This music is like the blind fucking rage of hardcore punk but more disciplined, and played exclusively on drums. I love it and all sane EBM fans should.

  • the absolute best bass line ever made to any dance music

    even more killer live

  • fucking LOVE Nitzer Ebb!

  • Shame that the audio's not from that show, but from the Godhead CD-single... :\

  • GREAT! I remember that gig very well - I´ve been there at Technoclub anniversary at Dorian Gray/Frankfurt! This was the best concert ever and the only one I rember which processed in a service tunnel of the Frankfurt airport ;-) Many thanks to the poster!

  • Awesome, there's a rivet guy stomping away in the front row at 0:48! I'd give anything to have been there but alas I was only born in June that year! :P

  • Brings back some awesome memories for me of NE gigs around this time! Anyone at the Christmastime gig at the Subterranea 17th December 1990? My brother sold his T shirt from that gig on e bay recently to a dude in the US for a mint! :-)

  • damn straight its nice to see these guys havent been forgotten they truly are LEGENDS!!

  • I still haven't heard anything else that comes even close to that most simple killer bassline ever made on industrial dance music scene.I love this track.

  • Du Caralho!

  • Still fantastic. When I was younger I'd drive my mother crazy with this song! All their songs for that matter...

Glad they're coming back. Well well missed!

  • Saw them on this tour at SOMA 555 in San Diego - must of been 150 people there? It freaking rocked.

  • Now theres a ball field there were we used to stomp around

  • I used to dance to this song all of the time when it played in the clubs. We even had a running joke about the song back then. We would replace the words with 'frie, fries, fries, fries', and other fast food items. Good times! I'm making a list of songs that used to played in the clubs way back when. Take a look, you'll be suprised at what used to played back in the day.

  • Horrorgirl71, your freaking AWESOME! Just scanned your playlist... you filled in alot of holes from that period for me! Thanks. :) And thanks jRollet for posting this vid!

  • Didn't one of the guys from Nitzer Ebb go to University of Michigan during the 90's and get an engineering degree??

  • on another note, mcarthy reminds me of encino man in this vid.

  • brachtune loves nitzer ebb

  • UNBELIEVABLE!

  • Wow...this is intense...I'm 33 now and I used to listen to them when I was in High school...I just can't believe how agressive this music was...

  • Its the beest :)

  • yes I am 32 and feel the same way. Still, it kicked ass.

  • I'm 34 and in the same boat as you guys. They still are one of my all time favorite bands.

  • 100% INDUSTRIAL CLASSIC AT IT FINEST.
