  • The guy giving directions was a total idiot.

  • funny how all KOH buggys seem to be solid axles front and rear. funny how every magazine article talks about the stability of ifs for a daily driver but bemoans it for a serious TRAIL rig. IFS works on a desert racer for the reason you don't see it on most multi purpose vehichles like a jeep. ruts and jumps are not the same as rocks or ledges. they don't have to be big rocks to break an IFS set up either. no IFS axle can survive long term that way. i've seen countless toys and the like break.

  • The driver gunned it BEFORE turning right. This caused the right front wheel to rise up on that mound thus causing the roll over and thus ending the great Hells Gate experiment.

  • driver didnt turn like the spotter told him to. driver error........bye bye cj!!

  • Hey it's just a toy. Roll that bad boy over and drive on

  • Why do you even need a spotter for hells gate? Really?

  • spoters some time those dudes just fuck you over... shouldn't of had him go drivers at all there.

  • FJ cruiser did that trail completely stock.. Look up Miss FJ Hells revenge

  • @Sirthomo111 hell's revenge isn't the end all be all. it's a fun trail but not hard. you do need to watch where you are at all times though. take a stock FJ through the rubicon or one of the johnson valley trails. a very skilled driver might get one through but there's a good chance it breaks a front axle. when you want to build a truck/suv that can go places like the rubicon, you don't worry about the ride comfort being more "civil". ditch the IFS toyota.

  • @blueduster74 Funny how during R&D for the FJ Land Cruiser, they took 5 (one of each color) on not just the Rubicon, but all of the classic difficult 4x4 trails in the US. They put 25K miles on each vehicle, abused them, tried to break them, and they all passed with flying colors. Oh, and IFS is stronger than a solid axle, I'm an Astrophysicist and if there was proper room in these posts, I'd rove it mathematically. IFS handles the Baja where loads reach 100K ft-lbs per wheel.

  • @Sirthomo111 fuck japan

  • show me the carfax

  • SLinky SLinky

  • No.. Your other right.. ah too late.

  • you need to kik him

  • Shitty driver? Shitty spotter........ You are supposed to do as the spotter says. He did. The spotter told him to go "driver" and he did. Which rolled him over. You can see the spotter realize his mistake and try to make him go "passenger" but it was too late.

  • Shitty Spotter.

  • this is like watching grass grow

  • Shitty driver

  • darn short wheelbase jeep... shoulda used a 1ton rig lol

  • My jeep helped win a war that allows you to buy your Jap crap!

  • @hornetsnest001

and now my jap crap owns your jeep

  • @stevenluke90 Whatever, Sayanora stevenlukeeson!

  • @hornetsnest001 My Jap crap helped win a war in the 50's.....KOREA!! And that is fact!!

  • @thelemonlite Sorry, Jeep came first. There wouldn't be a Korea if WWII isn't won by allies.

  • @hornetsnest001 Your Jeep, and the heritage you claim it has, left back in the 80's when Chrysler took over....Bring back AMC and Kaiser. Until then, the vehicle you sit in is assembled in lands far away from the US.

  • It is Jeeps heritage that I respect. If you're proud of your Nippon product good for you. Raise the flag of the rising sun on your antennae and support your country.

  • @hornetsnest001 My country is the US...And I've done more than most have in support of it. Buying a Jeep doesn't make you any more American.

  • @thelemonlite Doesn't make me an American at all. If you don't like the fact I buy American, I guess you'll just have to live with it.

  • @hornetsnest001 Jeeps aren't American. Jeeps are made in Mexico, and even autos made in America are assembled with parts, 80% of which are foreign made. Most Toyotas are made in the US and contain about 70% US made components.

Buying a certain brand car doesn't make you patriotic, in fact if anything, buying foreign cars is the patriotic thing to do... it will force US manufacturers to build better cars and not rely on government bailouts.

  • @seventhSabra completely disagree. first, the wrangler has never been made it mexico. canada and the US. about 40% of dodge rams are made in mexico. toyota trucks are not in the same class as any of the big 3's full size trucks. the tundra becomes junk if you use them hard. seen it first hand. the tacoma is a nice truck. but it is a light duty truck.

  • @hornetsnest001 No, your Jeep POS is nothing like the Jeeps of WWII, and they weren't all that great either. Jeeps didn't win WWII either, no piece of equipment did, but if you're going to sell out and claim a machine won the big one, then at least pick something that was actually relevant on the battlefield (P51, B17, Sherman, M1 Garand, BAR, Colt 1911, etc.)

Lick it or not the best cars, electronics, optics, cameras, etc are made in Japan and Germany.

  • @seventhSabra I would agree with the Japanese stuff and German stuff..but the case keeps getting smaller for Japanese stuff being markedly better. I think in the 80's and 90's when they were overengineering and places like the U.S. were underengineering it became blatantly obvious to anyone with an eye for detail. Now, you can see the attempts at cost savings which in most products which is beginning to make them the same as anyone else who is competing in that specific arena.

  • @seventhSabra name a single japanese or german vehicle that can be daily driven and still go where a rubicon can. you can't, there isn't. the FJ isn't close. it's easier to make a better product when your government tilts the field in your favor. both countries subsidized their auto makers at one point or another. that's far different than loans and bailouts. it cost US automakers nearly 30% more than the jerks you like so much to make a car. i work in the industry, i could go on and on.

  • @blueduster74 Wow, you work in the industry, big deal, I'm a multi-millionaire and when my company goes public in the nect few years, I'll be multi-billionaire... so I know a little bit more about economics than you do.

Umm, yes, the FJ is close, and it surpasses a Rubicon by a long shot. Stock FJs have done the world famous Rubicon Trail, stock Rubicons can't, truly sad considering they're named after the trail. You can do a ton to a FJ and still have it be a daily driver...

  • @blueduster74 ...Here's a few more things that stock FJ's can do which stock (in fact most modded) Rubicons cannot. Cross the Sahara, Gobi, Atacama. Do the Mojave Road (I do it twice a year and always see modded Jeeps stuck, but stock FJ cruise on through, it's a class 2-3 trail). Drive to Everest Base camp, run the Baja 1000/500, and the list goes on. FJ's are designed to run 25K miles between oil changes, the average Rubicon has major reliability issues by 50K miles...

  • @blueduster74 Now that was just STOCK vehicles, now for some mods. I see tons of daily drivers that are running 295/75/16 tires, with life, bull bars, suspension upgrades, supercharger, snorkel, you name it. My friend has one in Lake Tahoe, it's decked out, runs 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers, has about $10K in the engine (420hp/480 torque and get's 20mpg). He's done class 5 trails in that thing with me. Rubicon can't do class 5 with 295/75/16s and 4" lift. Then there's mine...

  • @blueduster74 ...I own a bunch of FJ's. (FJ40, FJ45, FJ60, FJ70, FJ80, FJ Cruiser, TLC Icon FJ44, and Baja Edition). All are capable of being a daily driver, all have 35"s or bigger tires, and all are modded out to the utmost. My FJ Cruiser has the same build as the FJ that won the Baja 500, but with some everyday comforts left in, and a few changes. It could drive to the North Pole, I've done 140mph offroad in the Mojave. I've climbed >60 degree inclines, 0-62 in 4.9s, 450hp.

  • @blueduster74 As far as what can a modded FJ do that a modded Rubicon cannot? Well, for one, the FJ along with an FJ120 Prado and a couple Hilux drove all the way to the North Pole. Jeep tries each year - fails. Toyota is still the only vehicle to take street legal, daily driver capable 4x4 and drive them from a large city in Canada to the North Pole. And if that isn't enough, Toyota's (specifically FJs which is just code for "Land Cruiser") operate in Antarctica, Jeeps cannot.

  • @blueduster74 Finally, I'll throw in Pinzgauer, G-Wagon, and Defender (although not German or Japanese). They can and do operate as daily driver around the world, and if you travel as much as I do, you'd see that only these vehicles and FJs can travel off piste. You'll never see Jeeps because they simply cannot handle the punishment and difficulty of terrain common in most other countries. I have the money to buy any car I want, I buy FJ's and Mercedes because they're the best.

  • @seventhSabra you are full of crap.

  • @blueduster74 Nope, but you are full of jealousy.

  • @seventhSabra of what? your imaginary toys? just another loser behind a keyboard making it up as he goes is what you sound like. either way, i'm done with this. have a nice day.

  • @blueduster74 Wrong-o jackass.

And you're jealous of the fact that I own and can afford to drive things like a custom Unimog 1977 DoKa 416, or a $200K TLC Icon.

  • You guys are idiots. Any 4x4 can roll. Dont attempt things you are not ready for. And an fj does not have a lower center of gravity that a jeep wrangler with a soft top...sorry. I work for Toyota and I drive a tj. What does that tell you.... Bottom line, mistakes happen, spotters or drivers. That's why we have roll bars and safety harnesses. If there were no risk... Everyone would do it.

  • fj cruiser is lower to the ground so its not as top heavy and the spotter is better this guys spotter wasn't paying attention

  • @etube242 FJ's aren't lower to the ground, they're just designed better. Stock Jeeps and FJ both have 10" clearance, FJ's have larger tires.

  • Just saw a vid of an FJ doing it no prob. Bad spotter. Nice roll.

  • ╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮

  • That should buff right out.

  • @millfire517 i just scrolled down to say the same thing

  • @millfire517 yeah just take a raw tamata

  • Dumbass

  • INSANE!

  • and thats why they call it hells revenge. ^_^

  • Is ... this is not GTA SAN ANDREAS

  • whats the point of this? is there only one trail to this destination? surely someone would have cut a better road by now.

  • @capricrow Same as any other form of motorsport, its for kicks.

  • A lifted jeep, or a jeep that had to be lifted out?

  • spotter flashed alittle late but he could have saved it if he would have jumped on the front real quick hell i had to do it on the 519 in evans creek

  • ehh nothing a buff cant take out. It's a Jeep so im sure it started up right after too!!!

  • Man !!! MOAB scrap yard gotta be low on JEEP parts lolllllllllllllllllllll

  • The spotter was right, I live here in Moab. ANd on that part you do have to go far right. The person in the jeep didn't listen.

  • spotter fail....... left, ah no center, right , i meant right.

and don't worry she was ok but i doubt she will use jim as a spotter again.

  • if you dont know alot about jeeping you probably shouldnt do those trails on hells revenge.. just saying. those are for the big dogs!!

  • Peep Junk

  • That would be AWESOME to mountain bike on.

  • When in doubt, throttle it out

  • Doesn't follow directions well

  • the spotter sucks

  • @hondacrfrider27 The spotter made a slight mistake, but quickly corrected it.

    The driver obviously wasn't watching.

  • Well there's your problem! You got this big black round thing getting in the way.

  • was he ok?

  • Hey tard, thanks for polluting the wildreness with your leaked oil and gas.

  • @retirednavy92 WOW. chances are it didnt leak either of those fluids #1 and two YOUR AN IDIOT. Have u ever been to auto zone or walmart?! there is so much leaked fucking oil in parking lots its rediculous. Your a dumb ass. So maybe u should stop trolling youtube and go finger paint or something.

  • @retirednavy92

dude a volcano makes more smoke than anything. why would a jeep destroy the forest??? think about wildfires and volcanoes.

  • woow

  • This trail shows absolutely NO discrimination toward Make and Model.

If you miss your line here you WILL sustain damage.

Bad spotters actually receive "kickbacks" from the body shop. ; ) Hee heee heee

  • Tuck and Roll Timmy

  • Tuck and Roll Timmy

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

  • Alright own up, who gave this guy the keys to a jeep?

  • well that sucks..

  • Land Cruisers are japanese, genius.

  • @tomvoo75 toyota is japanese, most landcruisers were actually desighned and built in australia, thats why they are so good off road, they were meant for the outback

  • @foxmotors1 Actually most TLC's are built in Japan with the exception of a few models.

  • CLASSIC!

  • Hell's Gate is one run you gotta get real humble and ignore the fact that everyone has a camcorder .... helps if your spotter gains control over the driver before letting them begin their run up.

  • Typical Heep, Get a Land Cruiser fool.

  • hahahahahhahaha thats fucking heeps funny lol people screaming and shit lol

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

  • ummm...whoopsy

  • Just watched a stock fj cruiser do that. And a girl was driving hahaha

  • @Bstan333 sexist much?

  • i just watched the same one the blue one ha haha @Bstan333

  • another bites the dust

  • what a shit show driver

  • wow that was dumb. that was really really dumb. fo real.

  • wow is he dumb

  • That jeep just got worked

  • HAHAHAHAHAH OWNED!

  • that one was the spotters fault.

  • watch it again. he had heaps of time to turn to the right. not the spotter fault.

  • i hope that guy is ok

  • i agree with the other people, H2's suck ass, my H1 would eat ur H2 and spit it Back Out

  • The spotter was telling him go left, then at the very last second, he changes his mind and tries to tell him to go right (driver's right and left). It was too late. Spotter is partly blamed.

  • @beboystyle Don't agree. Rockcrawling is a game of inches. Sometimes driving 3in in one direction, followed by 3in in the other is necessary. If the driver isn't competent enough to make it on their own, they need to listen to a competent spotter who can. A good spotter should be able to guide a deaf person through rocks with the same effectiveness as they could a blind person.

  • yep. that could have happened to us if a guy behind us said: "don't do it! You'll flip it on its back"

  • how play counttyyrer strike spotter nigger?

  • I am not wondering that america is running out of petrol.

  • spotters are there for a reason.

  • should have turnned right

  • so sad..but shulda listened to the spotter

  • Well thats not good:sarcasm

  • Yep , spotter planly waved the driver to the right , and he did not turn. Hope nobody was injured.

  • rofl funniest shit i have ever seen, he decided it was to easy and wanted to climb the side wall.

  • ouch thats all

  • this video never gets old!

  • lucky jeeps got roll cages. but damn thats sad to see.

  • I just looked down for a second, to get my cd case...

  • does that fj get good gas milage does it ia jeep man hey homie watch and do what your spotter says

  • when I say right, I mean right so do it now quickly!

  • and thats why u listen to your spotter!

  • FAAARK i hate the sound a metal crushing and sliding like that, how did the driver end up???

  • an FJ or a bronco could have rolled just as easily here, it was bad driving/spotting.

  • @adoucevw20 bad driving, not bad spotting

  • dude this isnt even funny it makes me cringe.....both the driver and the spotter are dumb fucks

  • wow, this was not the jeeps fault either, it was the driver, good lord what did he think a spotter is for?

  • "I get the Jeep thing.....Thats why I drive an FJ."

    hahaha

Jeeps SUCK, and so does that driver.

  • @billybobawesome227

Hate to burst your buble but the J in FJ stands for JEEP, lol. The F stands for the engine type. I drie an FJ also and it IS a JEEP. A jeep is not a brand na,me its a type of vehicle.

  • @billybobawesome227 Troll much?

  • good job *thumbs up*

  • Wow that's a terrible driver

  • no wonder why it rolled its a Cheap Jeep

its all about Broncos and Fj Cruisers

  • Rolling it down the hill is part of the trail! You're supposed to do that!

    It's a Jeep thing. I don't get it either.

  • Ouch. That'll buff out.

  • LOOK AT UR INSTRUCTOR!!!!

  • only in a heap.

  • Hooooooooly shit.

  • Oh man that sucks. Offroading is fun but i stick to mud where in most cases the worst thing that can happen is you have to be pulled out!

  • lol nub sac look at your spotter

  • Devils Staircase claims another one ..

  • LOL!!

  • Anyone buying a lifted Jeep out of Utah with a fresh paint job might want to pull a car fax report.

  • lol, thats pretty good man.

  • So hum...what is your point?

Are you saying BMW 325i convertible is designed to fail too?

Are you comparing Oriental Sorority girls with community college dropouts at Chrysler?

Please make some sense next time you are trying to sound witty because that was really bad.

P.S.: I'm no Jeep fanboy, I just think that statement was stripped of any meaning and read like shit too.

  • oh, you can drive that home. there are still four wheels on that peice of american briliance
