The end was very emotional but I wonder what this says about our daily transactions, which evidently came so naturally from the cashier. Do we die a little each time as part of a daily struggle, when we "pay our dues" with a transaction towards the system?

Pvt Long was someone you wanted as a battle-buddy. He stayed in the bay above me at Fort Benning but we saw each other daily. He tolerated my homesickness or downright sissyness and would encourage me to carry on what I'd started. He never had anything negative to say about anyone and when faced with a difficult task, he'd always focus on the good parts and remind us that it wouldn't last forever. He was a great soldier & friend and he will be remembered.

Thus is the stress and fear of military parents: constant. Thus is the courage and patriotism of those who step up to serve. Thus is the global war on terror: Global. It's here. Another strike on US soil. Another "warning shot" minimized. This loss cannot be ignored. Thank you for this interview.
These young men should be eligible for the Purple Heart at least. They were targeted for the Uniforms they wore as surely as if they were on the streets in Bahgdad. It was an act of Muslin Terrorsism , No matter what their Clown in Chief tries too say it was not.
