speed isn't everything. Feel first. try some gadd or philly joe. It's ashame that most kids today only listen to speed shit. put anyone of your fav. drummers up against gadd anyday and watch them get smoked or ask them whos better I bet they know it's not them.
i agree that he is the best drummer. he can do it all, it doesnt matter when he solos, and even if he purposesly solos off time, its still works and fits in well.
Normally I wouldn't respond to a comment like "he's the best drummer of all", but it may very well be true that he's the best modern day drummer. Joey has the feet, but Travis can do that also no problem. Lars knows how to use his cymbals, but yet, Travis does it even better and with more flare.
Travis has a drumming background from high school drumline and has the technique to prove it. Notice how his stick heights are always huge and will never seem winded from playing that "hard".
