No, I think he had the Queens bunched up in that area, and then the red coloring (Diamonds/Hearts) made it easy to imprint a Red Queen. By the time you figure out if you want Hearts or diamonds, he pulls out the hearts. Pretty fantastic.

lol i actually picked the queen of hearts as my card. that was some crazy luck and i was like o_O. he must have done this based on stats that show that when ppl are asked to pick a card, that one is the highest pick. idk that for sure but its the only thing i can think of. and for all you haters out there, he never claims to have *powers* or anything, he just says hes an illusionist, and does slight of hand.

Well he's very experienced with handling cards. I say he just purposefully held the queen of spades there longer so it would be the only one clearly seen. How he knew exactly when to slow down though is beyond me.

The trick is very simple. When he shuffles the deck, he intentionally lets you see the queen of hearts a longer time then the rest, thus, you are more likely to remember that card.
