Wats the difference between a delay pedal and a tremolo pedal?

Delay repeats the sound that is played (can be multiple times). A tremolo just quickly goes back and forth between high and low volume, creating an oscillating effect. They're two very different effects.

It's just a brief demo. The TR-2 can do slow blues, but it can do heaps of other music besides. The sqaure wave with chords gives a great "industrial" sound. It sounds better than that in real life because the sound on youtube isn't 100%.

I've got a variety of Boss pedals but if I had to keep just one it would be the BD2. It gives that fantastic vintage brown sound and it can be used as a booster or as an out and out overdrive. IMO it's a better OD pedal than the OD3, SD1, OS2 etc but everything's subjective of course.

that is true. i mean of course it is a subjective topic but in this case,i am in the same situation as you. if there was one pedal i would keep from boss it would be the bd2. and yes, most of the time i too use it as a booster for my ds 1. the thing sounds great even without the mod.

The BD-2 is great that's for sure. I just don't use mine anymore since I in general had better experience with Boss OD-1. That's my favorite OD :-)

ha, if I could play that good id not use any effects other then a TS-808 (booster) True story actually in Louisiana a guy showed up to a blue jam and beat the socks off all the guys with massive tube amps dozens of effects and he smoked them all with a solid state and no effects at all. people came up "Man, what amp and effects got you tone to the bone??" He was, "just an old squire and this solid state amp and my fingers."

miriyaa, I was talking to someone else who thought he was using the bridge pickup. He's using the neck pickup- you can see the selector switch. I can play, and don't swear at me please. The tremolo pedal is good BTW.

I just got a Danelectro Fab overdrive for 20 bucks and i find it worked a little better than the BD-2 it replaced.Saves a few bucks.

I really don't like the FAB-pedals. I don't think they're worth their price, even though it's so low. Instead, I would have modded the Blues Driver with the keeleymod.

Thanks for the compliments. On most if not all of the BOSS videos I use a JC-120 amp, and the settings are pretty neutral to not color the tone of the gear I'm demonstrating. I usually use the channel with the reverb & chorus, not that I use them in the videos, but I just usually use that side. So in this case all the eq knobs are at halfway. Hope this helps...

Someone was asking what guitar that was, as there's no name on the headstock. It's a '71 Fender Strat with a Warmoth neck on it as the mapleneck that came on the guitar had worn and bad frets, but wanted it to stay stock.

To be honest, I've had great luck with both. The rosewood to me seems to last longer. I've worn the laquer off of the maple of a few guitars, and love the worn in feel. But overall rosewood has lasted on my guitars over 20 years old. Now that's just me. I'm no luthier, or anything. Just my experience.

They both will last about the same amount of time, its just that Maple shows the wear alot easier and sooner b/c of the lighter coloration of the board, that's whey Fender started using Rosewood boards in '59 or so. I have an '83 SQ bullet with a maple neck, and the neck is flawless

I use a modded Ibanez tubescreamer :) thats very cool for classic rock :) I use an epiphone les paul custom with seymour duncan pickups! I get a very good Jimmy Page soundfrom that, a good tube amp is good to have as well :)as for the Blues Driver, BD-2, I modded that with a Monte Allum mod! man! it makes the stock pedal sound like crap!! my modded BD-2 has the BLUES vibe :)

This pedal sounds amazing, even at higher gain settings. Much more transparent than the DS-1, and if you use a compressor after the BD-2, it's tone nirvana.
