In the meantime if you are right or you are wrong... they've screwed your credit for the next 9 years or more. It's called R9 rating. Even with a bankruptcy you can be good to go in 24 months. The whole system is a game.

They have changed their names several times first from Supreme Credit Corp to Collect Cents to Credit Bureal of Canada I can only guess its becaue of the abuse. I guess they are not being fined enough money to make them stop. I'm sorry to see you had to deal with this abuse.

Those thugs call me every day about Telus Mobility and to be honest with you I will pay it as soon as I can but when you're partially disabled and unemployed, what can you do?

I'm a responsible person, but unfortunately there was a misunderstanding when I canceled my service. They kept charging me monthly and when I found out it was $1,000. So I had no way to pay that. Long story short they've been calling me since last year.

It really sucks since I never meant for that to happen.

my phone stopped working for 2 months and i called in every week to get it fixed, and they wouldnt do it, i sent my phone in to get it replaced and i never got it back. since i havent got any services from telus, i stopped paying, they cancelled my account and demanded that i pay.

so sure your right, i pay for services, but obviously i didnt get services so the contract was immediately cancelled.

unfortunately that wont happen. the company was shut down for misconduct by the bureau of consumer services, and also fined 25,000$. so they wont get their day in court.

@rubalsethi It's not as simple as that. Any company that you have a legitimate dispute or beef with is entitled to throw your file to the collections wolves instead of performing proper customer service. Cell phones and payday loan places are notorious for this.

People with disabilities can't pay their bills sometimes either, and we all know how this recession leaves people exhausting EI and going on welfare. Sure there's a few irresponsible skipsters out there, but not everybody.

SIN TIN SSN, is linked to the strawman which is linked to the birth cert, which is linked to a prepaid account in the gov. You use affidavit and money order to purchase or pay debts, it goes to the gov for offset, then returns to the corp you gave the M.O., as a check for FRNs they can use to balance the books, basically paying off the debt ? Sorry if I abbreviated too much, lots to get in one breath :)

It only effects your credit rating...good luck getting approved for any loans.. you really need to do your homework... Call up Telus and get the invoices... as you put this off the interest accumlates... When you find your sign contact.. read the small prints... they have the right to terminate your contact when you fall behind on your payments... try to recall what really happen between you and Telus...

i did call back. no answer. and then about 5 minutes later i got a call from them, an automated message, telling me to call. so i immediately did and once again got voice mail. i left a voice mail and everything. they didn't end up calling back.

Scary threatening big ar*eholes who have nothing and depend on fear to get a result. On a much smaller scale, I had an illegal parking fine for overstaying in a supermarket car park. They use forms that look official and charge 75 pounds or 50 if you pay up quick. Total scam. Needless to say I didn't pay but they make a lot of money by scaring people and using threats of court and baillifs. All the best.

I would recommend filing a counterclaim against them to prove jurisdiction and proof of claim, when/if they issue a court judgement against you. What do you think? It's my understanding that if you put yourself in the position of Plaintiff you can beat them easier.

I would strongly suggest NOT going to court as that increases your chances of making a slight error and enabling them to create joinder, even by illegal means , which is not beyond them. Reread Mary Croft and deal with it all by phone, etc. Keep your distance as much as possible. You seem to know this stuff very well so I'm confident you will prevail. All the best.
