That is a big problem with this whole Jena 6 deal. Many of the attackers (who are STILL getting arrested for battery and assault don't realize that you can't legally attack people who you are mad at.

They admit they wanted to fight him, chased him to his truck where he grabbed a legal weapon for self defense, then jumping him & stealing his weapon. They ran & hid. They did NOT claim to have been "held at gun point and diffused the situation".

@Joeybsmooth Again, a witness who was in the parking lot saw this and called the cops on the 3 attackers. When they saw another car drive up they ran and took the gun with them. If they had been attacked in ANY way, they should have called the police and turned in the weapon. They did not. The cops confiscated the weapon from Robert Bailey's home. That IS assault and theft.

They admit this in their statements. the white guy ran from them to his truck and grabbed his hunting rifle. They jumped him, beat him up and took his gun. Witnesses saw it and called the cps, the attackers ran. To say they "diffused" the situation is nonsense. They started it and OF COURSE were arrested (after the fact because 2 of them were part of the Jena 6).

Gotta Go convenience store with some friends. One of the white students who beat him up is at the store. After a confrontation, the white student pulls a shotgun from his truck. Three black students take the shotgun away from him and take it to the police department, reporting the incident. Bailey is later arrested for theft. The white student is not charged.

No, that's not true at all. The guy they beat up was NOt accused of beating anyone up before. they say he laughed at one of the 6 (bailey) for bieng beat up by another (white) guy that weekend. When Bailey pressed charges, the guy was arrested, charged and pleaded guilty to simple battery which is what he was accused of.
And there were actually MORE than 6 but some weren't charged.

Those were for unrrelated events. apples and oranges. Some of the Jena 6 had long records & had been reccommended for expulsion multiple before the jena 6 thing happened. At least 4 have been arrested SINCE then. And NONE are in jail now.
