A Malaysian Government Treasury circular directing government agencies to appoint only bumiputera (native malay) firms for development projects under RM30 million on Nov 6, 2006 is racially discriminatory, improper and unwarranted. Those projects form the basic support for most private firms, the government deprived non-malay professionals of their basic means of income, many have closed shop and they can forget about their children become professionals in Malaysia.
I myself also graduated overseas, because i m not good enough to meet the (Non Malay) uni standard, i m lucky, my parents afford to send me overseas to study, and i didnt let them down, i graduated and now i work in oversea. To give me a choice, i will not want to come back to Malaysia anymore.
helping the poor cannot discriminate by races. Poor Malay must help, poor Chinese or Indian also the gov should help. economic factor is not the only reason for suicide rate. malay is much poorer than indian but most of poor malay dont end up killing themself because muslims beleive that suicide will result to eternal punishment in hell.

Malay even has discount price to buy house, and all listed companies must have a 30% shares given to the Malay partner, even he /she didnt do shit.

Dr. Mahatir has told the press that countries who took all the malaysia talent must pay malaysia for seizing their talents, but does anyone think abt why the talents leave. I have a cousin, who get very good result but was rejected by local uni, she went to USA, and they provide scholarship for her, and now she works there. She told her father, "Is not I dont want my country, is my country dont want me", she is a non Malay

its not a contest of who's poorer. poverty should be iradicated indiscriminately. (most)Malays have come a long way since merdeka. But the indian community's rich to poor ratio is still the same.
