  • building a bigger space telescope is too hard, we should build several telescopes working together to zoom further. Organic life is maybe rare in the universe but today we can't affirm it's only on earth like the bible states, God maybe created organic alien civilizations on other planets in which god is maybe teaching his laws. Angels are aliens who can explain strange phenomens on earth but not elsewhere in the other galaxies, they're spirits not especially space travellers.

  • It's refreshing to think how outdated this video sounds after just a couple of years, this field of research is moving very fast. ^^

  • 0:45 Don't go all general on our brains.

How common? How many occupied stars? How many per star?

  • We need to look for planets in stars much closer to us (beginning with the closest star and moving to the 2nd closest and so on)!!!

  • @kn1b1s95 To find extrasolar planets, distance is not so much of a factor. there are other factors that make it more likely to find one. also more distant extrasolar planets are more interestring than near ones just like more distant cities look more interestring than near ones.

We are in the early steps, doing basic research. we can not reach any of these anytime soon anyways, so disttance does not matter as much. what matters more is the history of all these.

  • @HISservant21 Idiot

  • @HISservant21 god my a#h

  • @niIIer1 - "To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. - Psa 14:1-2

  • @HISservant21 why why? nothing gives sense in the bible for me. but you can belive what you want. but then stop trolling us who actually likes science and go watch some religes vidios if thats what you want

  • only 5 times the mass of the earth...

  • im just waiting for them to find a planet around proxima centauri

  • @soar313 they have

  • @soar313 i know right? but alpha and proxima centauri are binary system so i guess it wont be easy to find a habitable planet or any at all :(

  • even the smallest extrasolar palent is bigger than are own earth. according to the guinness world records. so we are one of the smallest.

  • @edgaras1973 Wrong. Weren't you paying attention to this video? This new extrasolar planet has only five per cent the mass of the earth.

  • @libraryquiet

He said 5x mass of the earth.

  • @libraryquiet Mass is not like size. Our planet is pretty metallic. So it can be bigger or smaller than earth.

  • @edgaras1973 no, but they simply can't detect smaller planets accurately yet.

  • Since a planet that small has been detected 25kly away, that could potentially rule out the possibility of any equal sized planets in our steller neighborhood, as they pressumably would have been discovered 1st.

  • @niflap Why was the smallest exoplanet discovered the most remote(even by intersteller standards) as opposed to the least? I'm not surprised that none have been found in the local intersteller neighborhood. I just don't get why this one WAS. I seriously doubt that ALL EP's b/n here & there have been discovered. But are we to conclude from this that we would have detected closer smaller ones if they were there? I mean there must be thousands of stars in this 50kly sphere of the galaxie.

  • WTF

  • U SAID IT WOULD BE EASY!!!
