Ay yai yaieeee! As I said above - this was just the first 2 days!!! I had HG on my lap in the plane...that got some looks, this being post 9/11 and all. Took her out public at Hippy Church, and yeah, all those morose Swedes were looking at me funny. But soon, I got bolder, and everyone wanted into the act. I've a few more clips w/ G. Forsyth, and the band was smiling and glancing at us. Ultimately, I was helping keep Austin weird. Great way for me to get less shy, too! It worked!!!

AWESOME! I so wish I couldve been there. That wouldve been sweet! I really miss going to live events. It was too cool to see my ol' Hula hanging with my favorite: Ray Wylie Hubbard!

Texolot - it was off the charts!! The show was sold out, but I was with a well-connected friend who got us in. We sat next to Ray's family. I got introduced as being the "biggest Blaze Foley promoter in Canada" and he seemed v. pleased. Got to greet him with a Montreal-style 2-cheek kiss. Got a shout-out fr the stage. AWESOME!!! Wait til I tell ya 'bout riding around Austin in a hearse with Ricky Cardwell......!
