organized Marching Bands are very American. The US soccer base needs something to make them unique amongst all the soccer fans in the world.

Are thing used to be only a hundred or so of using showing up to home matches but that got old.

newsflash: The band isn't hired. They VOLUNTEER. Why? Because they love the Sounders. And apparently, you have never been to a Sounders game, so I'd like to be the first to inform you: they only play at the beginning of the game, halftime, and the end of the game, and when someone scores, the band is drowned out by all of the cheering, screaming fans who are standing next to seats that sold out in a matter of hours.

I'm not sold on a band being at a soccer match... Not sure how Barcelona gets away with... hopefully it blends well with the general admission folks of Qwest Field. It would suck if this band drains out chants from sections 121-123

I understand your concern considering ECS wants to be seen and heard, but I think you've fabricated an issue where none existed in the first place. The band never had any explicit goal to "drown out" or "sabotage" ECS. The band is there to accomplish one goal: to support the Sounders.. no ulterior motive whatsoever.
