I don't know why people are critiquing the swordsmanship. It's a fucking movie. If they all spent their days and nights crafting a kenjutsu technique then maybe they would look like the real deal. But fuck. It's Hollywood. They spend their days and nights pretending to be things. Not very good pretending in this movie. There is almost nothing about how they portray katana skill that would carry into real combat techniques. Get over it.

An Epic scene, by why did Tarantino decide to shoot it the way he did, with that campy old Hong Kong movie style? Some moments in the film come close, but never go this far. Was it supposed to be kind of like an exaggerated memory of Uma's character? And who the hell thought it would be a good idea to have Michael Jai White use that accent? They really should have kept this in the film. My big complaint with the second film was that it lacked the action that part 1 had. This would have gone a long way to rectifying that.
