@bshurn The screw links worked but they are a bit small on the tensioning side of the line since the 1" & 2" webbing is doubled up there. Also, they could very easily unscrew if that matters. I suppose you could epoxy them shut. You really do need pulleys to get this system tight enough.
Great advice about simple mechanical advantage and explaination of difference between 1 inch and 2 inch. I have been using the slack daddy system that is made by a guy in Ashland Oregon. It is pretty cool especially for flash slacklining, but I like your setup because it accomplishes pretty much the same thing with a little extra prep, but cheaper. Thanks.
@Dutznoida Decent carabiners that are rated for climbing made out of aluminum are very strong. The only difference is that the max strength for steel gets higher for larger biners. If you are that worried then buy steel but it isn't a very big difference. I only use aluminum for slacking and never had one break. Just make sure you use some rated for climbing. :)
aha at the end you said you used a "parashit biner"

Where can I purchase these " 2 two-inch inner-diameter forged rappel rings"?

@lindylex I bought oval screw links. Haven't setup the line yet with them but they fit. Anyone feel this is unsafe?

Thanks for this... exactly what I was looking for since I'm not fond of ratchets.
I'm also curious how you feel about the jibline vs standard 2inch webbing? Sounds like you don't think its worth the extra cost?
I'm looking to get a 2" just for tricks/something different.
Thanks again for the video
