lookes like simple solution but I guess those tubes cause some friction too.
I have just build my FWD recumbent, now I have to learn to drive it.

@dajsinjo , friction is barely noticable i think, and better than an oily leg !
i'm just starting on a FWD MMB myself !

how much can you turn the wheel before touching the chain?
@dajsinjo , from straight on, only about an inch, lol !
but the chin tube moves, there is a little wear, but i've used more of a rubbery plastic tube.
so, obviously no tight turns, but easy enough to ride around town, at slow speeds, and as anything, its just a case of getting used to it !
