nah think its how you trying start it. trick these beasts. from experience. 4 - 5 pumps on gas peddle. choke slightly out. will kick over. push choke in. couple pumps gas then start. otherwise the girl seems to flood.

I think u have an exhaust valve burning out slight missfire and flop flop from exhaust and bad starter, change plugs aswell while u r there.

If the engine is from an older model Holden it will be tuned for LEADED petrol.

If you use a lead additive and add it to UNLEADED petrol.

It may damage valve seats if you don't do this.
