I was thinking of you (weather wise) I am not at all far from Wales (nr Manchester/Stockport) and it's horrid, wet & windy not the time to camp! I would stay at the hilton if I had the choice too! ha ha But We do hope to get away later in the year for a little camping and take our grand son James. MTCART4 is right I feel when she says the kids remember and we talk about them even now. The cheapest holidays but SO much fun! hope you have a good night tonight.
What a beautiful place. I'm so glad you are experiencing this camping. You will look back on these times with great memories when you are old like me :D Our daughter remembers our trips as some of the most fun times she experienced as a child. We used to take turns, hubby and I, going back and forth with a story at bedtime, one that we would make up on the fly. It was so much fun changing the story back and forth each evening. Also love what you said about the noises and so on when you are camping. We used to take our scout group to a camp site right next door to West Midlands Safari Park. During the day you can hear all the people screaming on the rides but at night you can hear all the animals.
Whenever we go camping we always say it's better to put too much on get too wrapped up because it is far easier to get up in the night and whip a layer off than it is to go hunting for another layer.
Feeling guilty. We are with nature too but in a nice beautiful cabin looking at the mountains. Did the camping on tents before. No more for me.
