Do not know why but it seems the violin needs to sold so hard to make it appealing to the wider public. Someone like ed Alleyne johnson has been playing for eyars but does not get the exposure of these females..food for thought? also not to mention many years ago Geoffrey Richardson ( rock group Caravan) Jon luc ponty another giant. The producers of this clip should make up their mind: is Assia a violinist or a singer? She plays violin some 12 secs, then she joins a street gang of hooligans for some 160 seconds while singing all along and searching for a guy by phone or joins a quartet of classic players but......to sing for them! Ah, she likes ballet too! The punchline: she is a pretty woman with a nice voice who's a bit confused about her life and loves. Unless the lyrics say otherwise but......I dont understand them.

Although I can't understand what she's saying, I actually like this better than Vanessa Mae's music because here she adds her own singing and actually makes the song about something. It has some violin and piano but it doesn't try to just be "modernized" classical music, which is what I feel Vanessa Mae's songs are.

I hate this kind of player- just a pretty face and mediocre talent. Same goes for Vanessa Mae- the violin can carry it's own weight, it doesn't need a techno beat or a pretty woman to make it special.
