f**k modern shredders. this is truly on that wild edge. to be honest, even he could probably never play his leads quite like this again. but who cares? that's what great about the best rock and jazz players. they push it to the limit and hang over the precipice of disaster...but just about get away with it, by the skin of their teeth. there's absolutely nothing like hearing someone allllmost crash & burn
noone in popular music in the 80s played like gary moore either.
the solo in this is one of the most crazily, passionate, frenzied, aggressive ever. i defy anyone to play this solo or those in 'out in the fields' or 'wishing well'. impossible. his picking was so clear and his fingers were like little hammers on the strings.
@zkhott It may have been release in Japan, I have it on a casset. This is one of the best songs he has done on that album. Raw power, fuck man Gary Moore is and will always be the best.
@kuolanen , he does, check out "running from the storm", "speak for yourself", "Ready for love" , and "After the War". all by Gary of course, and they are amazing.
THIS HAS GOT TO BE ABOUT THE BEST SONG EVER DONE BY THE MAN! GARY MOORE PUTS IN TRUE HEAAAAAAAARRRRTTT! \M/

My first band, I was 15 and the other guys were all 17, 18, 19. To prove I was hard enough, this is one of the very first songs they had me learn.
I sang and played lead. Well, as best I could, anyway.
I still love this song. We'll miss you, Gary
